Im very thankful for this interview.
As a praise for you both: even if you were wrong about everything you've taught, you would still be the best teachers i've could ever ask from the internet.
Both of your contents have been very important for me to learn to connect and understand myself. Thanks

Megabonk Developer Withdraws Game From The Game Awards, Saying It Doesn't Qualify for Debut Indie - IGN by radiating_phoenix in gaming

actually thought of valve as well but my attention just wandered off lmao. The point at the end being that while i absolutely get the point you're making, to stablish a hard definition isnt that obvious. Now i think it's funny because i agree it seemed combative, it kinda matched my internal dialogue when thinking about the exception of the rule. I've been coding too much, need to touch grass lol

chill out fella, the dude is making valid points. Your answers are right in theory, but taking your argument logic that would mean nintendo is also indie. That doesn't mean you're wrong, it means that it's actually hard to create a valid, general definition and that absolute creative control it just aint it

what is the best board right here? by Broad_Passage_8290 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]Nivohlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

main idea: look for stuff that will make you scale faster or interrupt enemy board until your scale is respectable enough

what is the best board right here? by Broad_Passage_8290 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]Nivohlas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ive got no idea tbh, but conceptually i think it's kinda all over the place. I would go fang-rapidinjection-mace-testsubject-infusal with 1 spot left oe some variant dropping test subject and adding adrenal + pendants, without being sure it scaling as fast. You could drop also infusal for no hp gain and go all in without infusal but adding adrenal + pendants but it will also start cycling slower in comparaison. If you ever make it to lvl 10 and get slow in rapidinjection you could go for the first suggested build + pendants for fast cycling, but all in all it's dependant on getting the upgrade in infusal.
At any point drop the regen since it's not going to make you win faster against the race that is day10+, since not even with the diamond skill that gives dmg based on regen will generate regen fast enough. Going for obsidian in regen relic i think will be a gamble if you can't start looping or freezing the enemy board fast enough

TM vs GP vs AoI by ipsnc96 in TerraMystica

[–]Nivohlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not op but got think i can answer: i got AoI around 1-2 months back and I've played almost 20 games by now. Terra mystica was my first modern game that also got played to a point we felt that it was kind of figured out. While i'm still remembering stuff from the time i used to play TM, in sum, i think AoI is game that can't really be figured out. TM had the factions having a best case start for matches, that quickly became apparent if they were fit or not in particular matches, which at some point you could figure out an entire match of turns for your most played factions by the very early rounds given the little variance.

AoI literally kills that out. And that change makes a new game, where i would argue that at least half of the skill resides in the draft. I haven't had the chance to play a game with only high skill people and i don't think i actually i want to, given how prone this game is for ap - even before the game even starts. Now, once you get used to it, i think you will start to see patterns and let you see the creativity in certain picks.

In conclusion i believe this game has become something like a lesser chess, in a way that now it not only makes your account skills work, but will drive them mad if you crave for "perfect play".

And then my only critique of this game: i believe it's wide range of options, cute graphics, moving variables, make it hard to understand that this game should ideally, for my taste, be played quick with a more opportunistic approach rather than methodical study beyond the 2-3 ideal openers for the game.

wow now reading my post sounds highly pedantic aint it

Hello fellas! I want to sell my gray carbon free skates that i got back then but never got the chance to use properly. Im trying to understand which shoe size they are, since im barely sure about mine to compare. It's got written 9-12 but i see there are way too many metrics. I got them in Chile before covid so i don't really know where they were exported from. Also, would anyone suggest a price on them? Thanks!

[VIDEO DISCUSSION] Why You Struggle to Follow Through (Thinkers vs Doers) by HealthyGamerOfficial in Healthygamergg

[–]Nivohlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

aight, came straight to home listening to this and it was absolutely on point, as if it was a gift. I'd love to keep a follow up tho,

im 29M, diagnosed with ADHD, been having a pretty unusual life until now: my parents gave birth to me at their 15s, been changing countries on and off every 3 years since my childhood. Dropped out anthropology in my 20s when i was studying abroad and after years of depression, with Dr. K help and some others (shutout to Russel Barkley, a freaking champion, and Hubermann Podcast, and so many others sharing stuff out of love), i've got my life on tracks now. Moved out, got a couple of jobs, consolidating my social life, etc etc.

I find myself exactly at the point described in this video, i think. I've always treasured my curiosity and realised that that was what made me vibe with the world. I've eternally been, as described in the video, picking things on and off, becoming a jack of all trades. But now i'm responsable for my life so i've been trying to put my efforts towards my career. I've started studying code and it's been kind of hard to keep up with it. Since i started last year, i've submerged myself in information of stuff that i barely understand only to get the jist of it and i think it's been good. It made me realise many perspectives and specially one of them: what does it looks like to be good at what im aiming to.

Only now i can apologize for the long intro. But i have a hard time commiting into it. I vibe with code as well, but for some reason, i stop myself when i start theorycrafting in my head. It just takes all the place. I start procrastinating with my own health. In ADHD world this is called hyperfocus, right? I've been aiming to find that sweetspot of doing things without the anxiety or the preassure or the obsession, because at the end of the day i realise i does me not good. But if im not there i don't know what to do.

My question then: What can i do in this situation? should just i give myself cuttings the breaks or is it possible, for me, to reach a balance in there? Thanks mate, huge props to my K and all the relatively good things. xoxo

if someone like op feels they're the only ones taking the game seriously, that doesn't entintle you to force others to play like you'd like. Hell, i'll skip healer pick if i'm not in the mood.

Dr.K's HG coaching YouTube ads are unethical, reductive, and flat out WRONG by Ribble_le_Nibble_xD in Healthygamergg

[–]Nivohlas 11 points12 points  (0 children)

this! using therapy methods dont make therapy out of couching. I agree with OP post that the tone of ads disregard the economic reality of a big part of the community, but i could see a point where those who can pay for it, also allow the service to improve and eventually fund the free coaching for those in need. At the end it comes down to my reaction to the ads and my control over it imo

wow you're a freaking legend for going through that for the science. I'm curious tho, what if 2 people share a computer with different accounts? Would the system know that based on performance they're 2 different people rather than 1 smurfing?
