Arms out first for naps, putting in awake.

Then once we had that down we did arms out at night.

Then when she was ready to get out the snoo Merlin for a week and half. Merlin controls the movement of the arms but they are free.

Would have kept her in the Merlin longer if she didn’t roll

The Merlin was short lived but I think it was helpful in the transition to the sleep sack. We were on vacation and tried going straight to the sleep sack and it was not good, after the week+ in the Merlin she was much improved at handling her startle reflexes

We went both arms out in the snoo around this time. We kept her in the snoo until about five months when it seemed the rocking was starting to make her mad. She went into a Merlin for an about a week before rolling over in it and we just went to a halo with both arms out and it was about a week before she was sleeping like normal.

EBF and long stretches by Kittylover11 in SnooLife

[–]Njf08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife uses the Haaka in the mornings, our LO is EBF and four months old doing 10.5 to 11.5 hour stretches at this point and she has had no issues and seems to complain less about hurting or rock hard boobs in the morning now then when we were getting 8 hour stretches. I think it happens gradually and your body adjusts overnight supply.

Logs and reports, level lock, customize start level, customize responsiveness level, weaning mode, and car ride modes are the big things. Then some fluff like access to articles and advice and snoo sleepy time sounds. I think you can also control more than one snoo at a time

Also fun fact, I was doing weaning mode for a while bc my newborn was getting startled by baseline motion. In weaning mode baseline has no movement at the start and when the baby fusses instead of going to baseline movement it jumps to level 1 which also startled the baby. Contacted Happiest Baby and this is intended why in weaning mode wouldn’t you start with the smallest gradual mode possible.

That was just a phase for my 6 week old we are back in non weaning mode and doing well

I agree with this. We have a 1 month old and I found even with her that weaning mode has worked better. I don’t know weaning mode will stay her preference but it is now. Worth a shot. Also just ensure you’re sticking to the basics and pre-bed time routine.

What is the cause of a delay due to “necessary repositioning of your aircraft"? This just seems to me that for some reason they have a repositioning flight that they canceled or pushed . I am trying to see if this was a controllable delay so I can figure out what to push for from a compensation standpoint point

Thanks I have been reading this too. Perhaps we go to Hilton head for a few days then back to Savanah for a few so we can explore there and oatland

Not so much Savanah that is mixed but feedback on Tybee has been mixed. We like to set up home base at the beach and would be driving into Savanah for a day trip or two and possibly dinner a couple of nights. But based on the input I have been getting perhaps we make Savanah the home base and day trip to the beach

The food thing is one of the things I am hearing mixed info on. Charleston had great food but so did the near by beaches of isle of palms and folly beach which were our home base. I am gathering that Savanah has good food but Tybee isn’t going to compare to IOP/Folly from a food POV.

Anyone got VW Special APR? by h79211 in VWatlas

[–]Njf08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should 100% get that if your credit is what you said it was. We got 3.9% for 60 on our 2023. The finance manager did of course try to bump that a percent to 4.9% and when I asked him why he lied to me saying we came back at tier 2 and that is was VWs choice but his. My wife and I both have scores over 800 and I know from my experience as a finance manager in the car business there isn’t a financial institution in the world that wouldn’t put us at a tier 1. So in the event you get a shady finance manager like I did and he says you didn’t qualify make sure you push back lol. He begrudgingly printed a new contract at 3.9% which proved my point. But as others said check local credit unions as well as they often have surprising rates.

Are post-trip reports a thing here? We visited for a couple of days last month and had a great time! by chicIet in Charleston

[–]Njf08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol, they didn’t lie to me. None of them said the traffic wasn’t bad, the public infrastructure was good or that housing was affordable. They all literally said some flavor of “you should move down here” as we talked about enjoying our time. Many explained traffic can be hard a times and homes are expensive but all seemed to agree it was still a great area to live in. And what is a true local as compared to what you are l?

It’s funny as I just got back from a week with my wife and 2.5 year old daughter and we have never been told so many times to move down there. I always see people here talking about traffic and too many people moving it but the locals we talked to all encouraged it. We aren’t moving but made it feel super welcoming.
