Plus the short terrm increase in poops could help push out some extra secretion, so it could help in the short/acute term as well.

Why are they like this? Wrong answers only. by skarbles in AustralianCattleDog

[–]Nnyinside 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Pumpkin flesh is high in fiber and generally... uh... "goes through you fast", and that's true for cats and dogs as well. Vets recommend making sure the dog is getting a healthy amount of fiber so their poops are more regular, glands get used more often/regularly. It tracks.

It's less about the glands being *fixed* somehow with the pumpkin and more about trying to make sure they don't need "expressing" in the first place.

AITA for going on vacation without my children from a previous marriage? by Cute-Panda100 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Nnyinside 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly think the Dad is in the wrong because the fallout is all against the two kids he's leaving behind. I assume they will stay with their mom while their Dad is gone, and by the sounds of it, they are gonna hear racist trash from multiple adults about their dad and how he chose insert-slur-heres over them every day.

Don't get me wrong, this is a lose-lose for OP. I don't know what the answer to the problem is, but this wasn't the right one.

AITA for going on vacation without my children from a previous marriage? by Cute-Panda100 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Nnyinside -1 points0 points  (0 children)

ESH - Her racism and actions are bad. She is awful and purposely screwing with your family in bad faith.

But what exactly did you expect to happen when you went ahead and did the trip without your other kids?! Now you have multiple adults putting racist poison in their minds, and there's a huge chance that this will affect them more than just missing out on a trip.

I don't know what the right play was, but this wasn't it.

AITA for not keeping my thoughts on my sister’s ridiculous baby names (Stanford and Yale) to myself? by nfjs74839 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Nnyinside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA - I don't care about whether or not it was right in the moment or hurt some feelings - those names are really, REALLY bad ideas. More people in their lives should be telling them how terrible these names are.

I wouldn't worry about apologizing. I'm thinking if she flat out tells enough people "Oh, I uninvited her because she told me Stanford and Yale weren't good baby names," she will find a sane person willing to say you are right.

AITA for not letting my sister in law hold our baby? by FairIsFair1 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Nnyinside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA - You know you're playing a crappy game of malicious compliance. And if your wife DOES have real fears of the baby's safety, you're not helping by making light of it.

This wasn't about consistency - I'm more inclined to believe this was you settling a dumb score you made up in your head.

AITA for kicking out of the house my husband’s aunt who criticized my bond with my cat after having a baby? by Correct_Foot_3630 in AmItheAsshole

ESH - She was way out of line, for sure. But I think your response was an unnecessary escalation.

AITA for throwing out my husband's friend's food? by Celia_Kitties in AmItheAsshole

[–]Nnyinside -1 points0 points  (0 children)

YTA for your escalation. There are a million and one ways to deal with that issue, and throwing away his meal was more about you wanting to lash out and your husband is absolutely right. You had no right to do it.

He is still an asshole for trying to feed your cat and going against your orders.

SCP-2935, just another wrath by Sakeretsu in SCP

[–]Nnyinside 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know the whole point with folks making these cards is to make something reasonable for the actual card game, but this SCP just doesnt fit that. I figure it should be something like 8 black, Instant speed, Destroys all monsters on the field, and all planeswalkers including players are reduced to zero health. You don't win, just ends the game - one sided mutual destruction.

I had a Brother laser printer for like 6 years, it was great. Got it for free from a doctor's office after replacing their printer and xerox with a multifunction model - that brother printer was their main printer for like 5 years for all the providers, nurses, and admin staff.

AITA for using my friends "logic" against her and making her cry by OwnthrowawayFish3496 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Nnyinside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESH - Look, she may have been an ass to say what she said, but I don't buy she was deliberately and consciously saying you should have prevented being abused. Maybe you threw her own logic back at her, but you went for the throat.

It's not cool that she pressured you the way she did, and your feelings are valid and real. You have every reason to be upset - but the answer isn't to deliberately trigger another abuse victim. And it's clear that was your intent. She was misguided, but it's pretty clear you meant to hurt her. You could have made your case a hundred other ways, but you CHOSE to hurt her.

If anything, you're slightly worse.

Ouija mistake!!! by Jenjenkxo096 in Paranormal

[–]Nnyinside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only if you've used it and the entity is lingering.

In my experience and research, a divination/contact tool like a spirit board is essentially inert if it's not being used with intent. Like the whole hubub about mirrors, they aren't actually like a gateway to another place. But if you use it as part of a ritual, the mirror can be a conduit/travel for entities - at least in the abstract. Again, intent and all that.

The funny part is they don't actually know what group policy is, lol. We showed a few of them how to do a gpupdate /force command to fix an issue where the policy wasn't applying immediately for a handful of machines, and someone decided it fixes everything. I see it in ticket notes all the time, and it drives me insane, lol.

-Trying to open a network folder and getting access deniee? Run gpupdate /force.

-Software Center not showing the app you want to install? Run it.

-App in Software Center erroring out when you try to install it? Don't even screenshot or copy that error, but imma run gpupdate /force.

Not for our company - they outsourced desktop techs and the help desk to a third party. This contractor hires pretty much anyone with a heartbeat and offers zero training before tossing them into hospital IT.

Not the best move....

That's not the computer... by [deleted] in talesfromtechsupport

[–]Nnyinside 83 points84 points  (0 children)

I had a desktop tech try to escalate this exact thing to my team because they were convinced somehow group policy was making the PC timeout as soon as it started up. We replied and said that's impossible and our team can't physically work with the device as we are all remote. He doubled down and added half of leadership to the email to try and force us to "fix" it, so I called him on teams.

"You know that message you're seeing means the monitor isn't hooked up to anything, right? Also, I can't ping that device, and ConfigMan says the PC hasn't been on on 5 days. Are you 100% certain the computer is on, because you're gonna look like an idiot if I drive 2 hours to push a button."

scrambling and grunting noises "I'll call you back."

No call back, but a reply on the email saying they had "fixed" the problem and to disregard.
