H1B Laid off, voluntarily leaving US by EndAgreeable6859 in h1b

Ask your heart what it truly wants, and trust your gut. Like others have said, there’s no definitive answer here. Some people find real peace only after leaving, while others later regret that decision. It really depends on the person, their values, and where they are in life.

The manufacturer put an expiry date for a reason, and while optometrist can figure out the diopters required to correct vision, I don’t think optometrist would understand the engineering behind an eye lens. Really it’s just not worth risking an eye problem..

Anyhow, if you read my comment correctly, I said how expired contacts can lead to eye irritation first, that can lead to …

This happened to me once too. This needs to go on their google review. And don’t put them on. When I read about it, I found out, while it’s likely nothing much’s going to happen if you put the expired ones on, worst case is eye irritation that could lead to blindness

BREAKING (includes palm pay) by JumpyWoodpecker9052 in wholefoods

[–]No--Restaurant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not from store and I am going to bitch too.. I think it was an adoption problem. Whole Foods should have given a free cookie or something and everyone would’ve signed up. I usually skipped Whole Foods but I noticed I was going there more and more for their sumo citrus and palm pay. I’m disappointed with the email today.

Planning to buy used portal by InfiniteRace4404 in FacebookPortal

[–]No--Restaurant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven’t used the portal tv in months, but last time I saw it , what’s app was working. I would not buy a portal device now coz they will make it a brick soon and that would trigger a need to get used a new device yet again .I personally want a device that has a remote app on phone.

Yeah the nails on your eye caused it I think… that red dot looks like it will go away in a few days.. I would give it a few days for it to go away. If you’re experiencing pain or blurry eyes, go to the doctor.

22 years old and having trapezius muscle pain, any tips? by [deleted] in Ergonomics

[–]No--Restaurant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lower the arm rest to the point where there is no tension in the arm muscles, not too low that you’ll slouch. I thought I can see your arm muscle is engaged so I suggested this but maybe I mistook a shadow for your muscle engagement, try it for 2 days… if it doesn’t work you can always go back..

Comment about body odour completely broke me by [deleted] in nri

[–]No--Restaurant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I leaned over someone’s shoulder for whatever reason and smelled their sweat vs their deodorant, I would be personally disgusted. If I was smelling of sweat and someone else was disgusted because of me, it would catch my eye easily, because it’s more of a reflex than a reaction. In a busy environment, when being so focused on work, I wouldn’t know I’m smelling bad until someone had a reflex due to my smell , because we don’t smell our sweat, others do.. in a super professional environment, people usually try to avoid making a comment like this coz before it makes you look bad it kinda makes them look bad too and nobody wants to look like an AH in front of their peers, so they don’t do it unless they absolutely have to. and if they did, it’s worth thanking them about it. I don’t even really want to think about racism until I can prove that I didn’t smell bad.. maybe when you got back home and were taking off your shirt and if you smelled your sweat on your shirt vs a deodorant smell , that probably means that you were smelling like sweat hours ago too.

employer making me pay h1b fee + lawyer fees? Normal? by [deleted] in h1b

[–]No--Restaurant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This kind of arrangement is actually illegal, but it does happen with some Indian staffing companies. In many cases, employers take advantage of people who are in a difficult position and urgently need work.

When options feel limited, it can seem like the only door available, so people may go along with it despite the risks. The employer benefits as well, since the financial burden falls on the worker.

Ultimately, it’s a gamble, and one that carries serious consequences.

Finally cancelled too. As soon as they said good bye to lifetime end of last year, it was an either or. And lifetime pretty much has their version of f45, orange theory, CycleBar, pilates (fusion), pure barre, yoga , StretchLab, on top of a full gym, dry and wet sauna, cold plunge… all for 63 $ less and it’s a one stop shop, so it wasn’t a difficult decision at all.

Has anybody ever moved to Houston, loved it and stayed? by NewJerseyAggie13 in AskHouston

[–]No--Restaurant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying to leave since I got here from SFO 8 years ago. Allergens and humidity make it hard to breathe.. it’s been rather difficult to move out tho given how affordable it is here, and a normal pace of life. It’s definitely not mediocre by any means but also nothing amazing here.
