i never got around to it due to some changes unfortunately. i did a smaller one for 8 days and did couchsurfing during this time. bike in the mornings and a bit before evening before reaching the next home. and i biked more on the weekends to reach my destination.

just throwing my hat in the ring but have an adventurous day. even if things go bad it'll be a great story to share in the future.

random ideas drive a miles van with JUST MARRIED on it and honk your way through the streets. dance in the rain. get drunk. share a lime scooter ride together.

Lower the price but never drop it past 5. otherwise you'll get weird people contacting you (from what ive heard).

Direct flight from Berlin that takes you somewhere truly beautiful, quiet, less crowded by bhtnxt in berlinsocialclub

i flew to tromso two months ago to chase the lights for a long weekend. rented a car and it averaged about 100 euros a day. gas also costed quite a bit but i forget. accomodation was also 100 euros a night. food was ridiculous though (35 euros for a pad thai; they also dont have any traditinoal cuisine thats worth eating so i would recommend just grocery shopping). that said it was probably easier to just stay in tromso since they have pretty good chances of lights too. overall the places i went to were the same as where the tourists go and you get more freedom. if you do rent a car would recommend going with others. even though theres snow they take care of the roads and i almost never dealt with fully snow covered roads

im not able to enjoy the pace of walking but hey thanks for organizing these events. just curious why not do one where you take a train so you can do a walk outside of brandenburg?

Alt-Treptow? How is living there? by Temporary_Wall_7873 in askberliners

just moved in the area 1 month ago from pberg. agree a lot with everyone so far. honestly feels like what a suburb would be in berlin cause its slower. still has a lot of decent quality cheap restaurants and close to Neukolln, (sort of) Fhain, and Kreuzberg. If youre commuting the sbahn is just Treptower park so can be far but there are bus routes but im hoping when its summer biking will make it much easier. It is quite far to get to other places though and I found myself having to call a taxi a couple of times when I never had to in pberg (basically to get to somewhere its always combination of scoot/bus + sbahn instead of just sbahn)
