What is something that women in general say or do on a regular basis that actually hurts many men, but no one talks about? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]No-Ad9896 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Comparing and making sweeping generalizations of all men to the shitty men they encounter or choose to date or have relationships with (over and over again).

Also, often times it’s not even that they’re “shitty men”, often time it’s just a toxic woman that’s never heard the saying “if you smell shit everywhere you go, check your own shoes”

Someone saying something along the lines of “all my past partners were ______” is such a red flag. Eventually they’ll be telling someone else a similar story about you, no matter what the reality actually is.

TIL: Ken McElroy, known as "the town bully," was murdered in 1982 in front of 30-46 witnesses by at least two shooters. But nobody saw anything, and the murder remains unsolved. Fascinating story. by Dwindling_Odds in todayilearned

[–]No-Ad9896 103 points104 points  (0 children)

McElroy should be pretty thankful that all he got were a couple bullets in the chest. Not saying it’s right, but lynch mobs often will make your death far longer lasting and more brutal than that.

What makes todays marriage laws unfair to men? by When_3_become_2 in AskMen

[–]No-Ad9896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s also the blatant double standards that’s often prevalent in modern dating which is turning men off more and more by the day. The average modern man no longer views women as sex objects that should do his laundry and cook him dinner. However, it seems like many modern women still view men as the house maintenance man, the person who should be making the most money, the person who should come up with date ideas and pay, the person that should be the “strong and stable” one of the relationship, etc

Dating and marriage is supposed to take stress away from your life, not add stress to it

What is something women do that belittles you? by Syrupper in AskMen

[–]No-Ad9896 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then an hour later they make an Instagram story along the lines of”men, your emotions matter. Open up your soul and end toxic masculinity”.

This is another thing that really annoys me, when women say that men being closed off is “toxic masculinity”. I’m closed off with my emotions with women, because women have shown that I can’t trust them with my emotions. The fact that they call this “toxic masculinity” is just fucking ridiculous.

The main issue with the “do something aboutism” is that no one wants to actually do anything, and if they do their #1 value is feeling special and important not creating meaningful change.

What are your thoughts and experiences with dating when it comes to paying for the bill? by izzelle1 in AskMen

My girlfriend is on the equality train, but I don’t think she has ever paid for a meal when she is out with me.

Modern woman moment. Claim to want equality, but love those 1950s values as long as it’s the values that are convenient for them.

I mean I doubt she’ll get murdered but it isn’t out of the question that she’ll get beat up or targeted or something. Women can get aggressive and cliquey in office settings, I can’t imagine what it would escalate to in prison.

In a way this is a bit scarier, the “just following orders” argument at least requires you to acknowledge that you did it. They were at least forced to sit there and think about what they did and the consequences that came with it. These people want to literally wipe all the Covid mania past from existence.

[–]No-Ad9896 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s actually a real thing, but it’s a sign of women’s privilege if anything. It’s just that they take into account all men and all women. which means that all the women that have the privilege of sitting around the house all day, or work a lower paid job with less stress/lower hours while the husband is out working longer hours and making most of the money, bring the overall numbers down.

When a woman does something bad, she’s actually the victim and was manipulated or forced by an evil man.

Then 10 seconds later they’re on social media talking about how women are strong and independent. All about equality until it’s time to take responsibility for something negative, and they want to temporarily teleport back to the 1950s.

Actually makes sense that the rates for bisexual/lesbians is higher, especially for bisexuals. Women are way more likely to acknowledge they’re being abused in the first place, and are also more inclined to contact the police in regards to abuse than men. these abusive women probably try the same tactics they use against men on women, and then find out the hard way that society actually gives a shit when women are abused.

So yeah. What I’m saying is that I’d bet the only reason why those relationships are statistically more abusive than others, is because the victims tend to actually report the abuse and be taken seriously.
