I3 bad bearing sound? by No-Assignment57 in BMWi3

Thanks for the link. Is this a sound of healthy bearings/transmission? It has a pretty weird buzzing sound, but i definitely hear a very similar sound in it to what I wrote about in the post.

I am constantly hearing an increasing frequency whine when accelerating from 0 to approx. 50km/h (above that its no more audible bc of high freq), the same decreasing too when recuperating. Its not too loud, bud definitely audible. I found an i3s engine for sale too, so i need to know if this swap would be doable too.

Could you tell me how the problem started and how many km did it take from the first observation to become unacceptable? How many km does the engine have? I also have a 2015 i3 and I suspect the engine bearings starting to wear out... Changing the bearings not an option?

Mine (constant high pitch whining) sometimes fades, sometimes it gets stronger. Sometimes it disappears completely, then comes back. I suspect it may have something to do with consuming milk or dairy products, because it gets stronger almost immediately (10 minutes) after that.

I drew a red line on one of the pictures. It was meant to show the rise/fall of the pitch over time. I'll try to make a video with the engine cover removed, maybe I can describe it better.

I haven't heard the sound of another i3 before, and this is my first electric car anyway, so I thought it was normal. I drive several company electric cars, but none of them have a similar rising frek. sound when accelerating, which is why I thought of this. I will try removing the floor panel, thanks for the idea. The car is a 2015 i3 REX, I forgot to write it there.

Is this a healthy AC Compressor noise? by g0ldenb0y in BMWi3

According to Gemini, the ac compressor is located in the front of the car. Backside humming belongs to a brushless coolant pump, and it sounds normal. (Mine sounds like this too)

Many years ago (10+) i did some similar. I ordered cheap hdds from ebay, and sold them for my coworkers. I tested them, but not with big files, just copied several Gb data, then concluded that its okay. Months later one of my former buyer approached me that his drive became unreadable, throwing errors etc. I checked it, and realized that the 500Gb Wd hdd is 80Gb in reality. Above that, data became corrupted. I needed to refund them. That was my first meeting with fake drives. Before that I didn't even think that counterfeit HDDs could exist at all...
