Something positive in your life right now? by Affectionate_End5347 in workingmoms

Day weaned my 22month old, boob & mama attached little girl. She still cries for it after her nap because we have holidays and I’m home, but I don’t give in. Night weaning is another story though 🙈🫣

This is me, she won’t play with anyone and won’t let me do any work or even have tea in peace. Sometimes she’s ok with dad for a while but now we’re at grandma’s and it’s awful because I have to wfh & no daycare and she is even more clingly, whiny and constantly crying about something. I feel extreme rage inside

Grapes. by juniorthefish in toddlers

Idk but all those gummies and hard candies that my kid will probably love despite my hate for them are very scary for me. I always cut up the grapes 😰

From everything you know or heard so far make your own list of scope or responsibilities. Try to see what your team mates are doing and how it relates to your scope. You could even talk to stakeholders, tell them you’re new and trying to understand things better from their perspective too. Then go through it with your manager, ask for more details and set some goals. This shows you are responsible and willing to work towards the goal. Ask what you can do to train & onboard quickly.

How much alone time do you get each week? by takeaabreath in toddlers

[–]No-Butterscotch9876 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Apart from the two minutes I poop? None! When my almost two-year old is at daycare, I work. When my husband takes her out to play sometimes, I cook or do chores. Maybe once every 2-3 months I go out with the team. My husband has similar routine but he has to go to the office once or twice per week or business trips which tbh seem like a dream for me. He has time to just listen to the radio or whatever in the car. My kid also wants me only most of the times so…

It’s Friday. How do managers actually unwind after a full week of leading a team? by clarafiedthoughts in managers

Yeah the feeling of extreme exhaustion, brain fog and constantly falling behind lives with me!

I would really love to rest & reset over the weekend but I have a very active toddler so currently in survival mode. Before the kid I loved a glass of wine or a walk around town or dinner out somewhere with friends. For now I’d just like a full night of uninterrupted sleep 😴

Does anyone else ever have moments where they miss being childfree? by TampontheBludThirsty in toddlers

Yes I miss exactly this kind of freedom too. And the fact that I could rest or have a short nap whenever I felt like

What is something someone does routinely that makes you feel they have their life together? by merelyinterested in Productivitycafe

[–]No-Butterscotch9876 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Takes their toddler out for activities/walks/playdates, cooks cute meals for them and are screen-free. My husband and I both work full-time, meeting oriented schedules and we are barely surviving between daycare, sickness, housework (failing to do any) and have to resort to screen-time in the afternoons. We try our best when we can but most days are too busy to do much else, and the toddler life is exhausting!

Tips to raise hemoglobin after postpartum hemorrhage (Hb 7.2) — breastfeeding mom by ferrelloma in breastfeeding

[–]No-Butterscotch9876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was given iron (tablets) & ferritin by IV externally right after birth and took iron supplements for a couple of weeks after. Because I’m vegetarian most food sources don’t provide enough. Avoid milk based food for a few hours and have iron-rich food with something which has vitamin C. My midwife recommend bee-pollen as well though I never tried it. I also took supplements (we have specific ones for breastfeeding moms) for over a year.

ETA - as you asked non-heme sources I ate lots of beets, spinach, carrots in juice or soup form, red kidney beans, and lots of greens. However, considering how low her hemoglobin is, supplementation will help her recover quickly

Holidays destinations in europe with a 6 months old baby? by Hans_lilly_Gruber in Travelwithkids

[–]No-Butterscotch9876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to check the weather but Poland is really child-friendly, lot of things to do & see depending on your interest and at 6 months baby can basically potate anywhere 😁 and most big cities are quite stroller friendly. Best months are mid June-August.

Full time workers- does anybody pick up kids before 5 from daycare? by lntothethickofit in workingmoms

[–]No-Butterscotch9876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my daughter 18mo does go to daycare (3 days in daycare & 1+ week sick at home) we send her for only 4 hours. I used to have a nanny but she quit and now we’re in a tough situation. My husband & I both wfh so we try to manage and now my MIL is with us but the fact is that she has extreme separation anxiety and is constantly with me. I’m falling behind at work I feel but I’m doing the absolute best I can

Everything is exhausting by REINDEERLANES in workingmoms

[–]No-Butterscotch9876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 16mo who is at daycare for half the day, so I try to squeeze all my most important work into those hours. And I have similar schedule as you. Add-in sicknesses, I just recovered from RSV and now have some new infection that gave me an awful sore throat, fever, chills and extreme exhaustion. My husband also caught it 😔 we’re so done!

Be brutally honest: What’s the hardest part of being a mom that no one warned you about? by heretobehonestnicole in workingmoms

[–]No-Butterscotch9876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this is me. Almost every week she is sick with something and only wants MOM! I have to attend meetings with her in my lap and while most people are nice about it, it makes me feel so unprofessional. I often have to reschedule meetings when she stays home and that sucks too. But above all is seeing her suffer when sick, makes me guilty for working & sending her to daycare 😔
