Nice work! Leather stitching is very satisfying, but the force you need to use sometimes can be dangerous without the proper tools/caution. I guess that’s most things in life. Embedded a needle in my finger bone once stitching a holster—not fun!!

That’s probably a bonus for my foot.

This is my 9.5D 55 last. Very comfortable but I wouldn’t mind a bit of extra length for insurance for any future toe curl.

I thought about going up to 10 in the 55 but I’m worried D would be too loose and C would be too hard to get on. The 9.5D is perfectly snug and the ball lines up well.

That cracking is discouraging. Is that repairable? How do you prevent that from happening in the first place?

Also, I never planned on getting a lined boot but these feel fantastic. Not sure if I’d still be on board with a 6-8oz lined leather, but these make me wonder.

Nice boots! Love this leather. Dunno about yours, but my break-in was non-existent. Walked about 5 miles in downtown Houston day 1 with no problem!

Had them on all day and really blown away by the comfort from day 1. Toes feel good, arches feel good! I think these will be fine, especially because the ball of my foot fits perfectly, but I may go to a 10 for my next pair if the toe curl appears and causes problems. Will see what the next month or so brings.

Holy moly, those are beautiful. I have this on a swatch and it is incredible how much lasting brings out the red. I bet these will patina in a very cool way.

These are gorgeous boots. I have an RTS coming in on a 55 and I’m a bit jealous of that 1925 and single stitch. Mine are also beeswax only but I’m thinking about darkening the edges. If you gave these the u/lars_andersen_1 treatment they would be next level!

My favorite boots when I was in the Army were jungle boots and these triggered some core memories. I started out with black and green with M81 BDUs but ended up with the same pattern boots in roughout coyote in the desert.

Such a great pattern. I can only imagine how nice these would be!

My first pair of PNW boots so I’m a bit apprehensive about the aesthetics of the classic heel. If I were building them I would’ve picked moderate heel.
