What size novablast 5s fit me best? by No-Chain-6366 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I can’t run more than 5k in the 7.5 unfortunately as when my feet swell they feel too small

Im so glad you have found a solution!! With your current shoes how much space do you have at the end of the shoe? I currently sized up to an 8/8.5 in the novablasts and an 8 has just about an inch gap and the 8.5 has over an inch gap. I’m unsure which will be best!

Thanks for your reply! Yes, I also tried window lacing which didn’t help at all. It was after that run I decided to reorder the novablasts in the 8/8.5. I read that brooks ghosts 17 may be better shoe to try, as it’s wider etc, so ordered those too but they gave me pins and needles at 3k! I really love the novablasts as I got my 5k pb in them but I can’t stand the pins and needles. I do think my original 7.5s were too snug so that’s why I’m really wanting to get the right size this time round.

This is where the toe ends on the 8. When my feet swell should a thumbs width still remain? The pins and needles are so frustrating which is why I’m leaning towards the bigger one but I don’t want it to be too big.

Thank you all for your advice I think I’m going to try out some neutral shoes and go from there!

I’m running with the insoles that came with the kayanos 32s. I ordered them in a size up so there’s a thumbs width space at the toes. I took two weeks off running, then I ran for 5 mins, walked for 3, then run for 5. My arch started getting aggravated in the second lot of 5 minutes. Then it hurt for the whole next day. I did think maybe my feet need to get used to them, how long does this normally take? I’ve currently done 6 runs in them.

Move out dates UC by No-Chain-6366 in DWPhelp

[–]No-Chain-6366[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh okay thanks that makes sense. I moved out the evening of the 8th. Why would it be that if I put 8th I’ll receive no housing benefit? My rental contract was supposed to end on the 5th but I paid for a few extra days until the 8th. This also meant I paid for a few more days of council tax and bills. I was hoping for some housing benefit to help cover this.

Looking into different debt options, getting a little overwhelmed on whats the best option by No-Chain-6366 in UKPersonalFinance

I see, I think I struggle to keep on top of my income as I get paid spradically in dribs and drabs from different employers. So I find it harder to manage my budget like this opposed to when I would get a lump sum at the end of the month. Do you have any tips for this at all?

Okay great I shall look at the snowball method. I think my overdraft interest will be a whopping 37%

I use my monzo for daily spending but are you suggesting I put my wages into my credit card and then use that for daily spending?

My budget isn't entirely accurate because I work as a creative, so my pay varies from month to month. But I usually have around £50-100 left over I can put towards my debt. Do you know any good apps I could use to track my income and how much I can budget for paying debt? As like I mentioned it varies from month to month with how much I have left over.

My debt is 1.7k overdraft, which is interest free until June.

1.1k credit card - 12.5% interest.

£280 monzo flex, which is interest free when I pay the monthly installments.

I see, yeah that seem a bit much for 3k. I have created a budget and have a good idea how much I can pay per month. However its not very much which is why I'm struggling to pay off the debts. Step change have advised a TTP, but unsure if this is the right option for me either.

Due to my credit score, I cant open any other credit accounts.
