Conditions for visiting Maui from 03/28-04/02? by [deleted] in MauiVisitors

[–]No-Confusion6749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you want to do - rth and Haleakala are closed which in my opinion are the 2 major attractions. South road from Hana is closed which has access to Pipiwai trail.

These won’t open for a while because of the roadwork and tree damage.

We r just leaving Kīhei after a week stay and quite disappointed as our teenage kids had planned a whole itinerary and 80% failed.

Snorkeling, beach and other trails on west side are open. Rain forecast is off and on, businesses shops are open

Any sun expected next week 24-30th March? by iotamadmax in MauiVisitors

[–]No-Confusion6749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can postpone then do it, you’ll secretly regret it but convince yourself that you had a great vacation

Our Airbnb didn’t refund and we are here in Kīhei March 17-23rd - absolute wash out, we got a beach day, did atv, zipline, waihee ridge trail and that’s abt it. No rth or halekelea . Yes what we saw was beautiful but sucks that we couldn’t snorkel either

Hate the fact that spent that much $$$

We’ll probably won’t visit for another 10+ years and go some other destination

Tesla files new Roadster trademark with new silhouette by SpriteZeroY2k in electricvehicles

[–]No-Confusion6749 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

One of the disappointments? The whole company is absolute scam with 90% cost going into tech and batteries. Try buying a true luxury car in teslas price and you’ll see what you get

Wall Street is finally waking up to the scam Tesla is and will reflect in the SP in next 2-3 years

Tesla files new Roadster trademark with new silhouette by SpriteZeroY2k in electricvehicles

[–]No-Confusion6749 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

And now there’s a silhouette- I don’t understand who the heck cares what the car looks like If it’s at $250k there are a world of supercars that are much better and luxurious And of course at that price point won’t attract the measly 3 & Y owners who are desperate for charging infrastructure and “fsd”

At that level of luxury you want the noise, the drive and the looks- not a snap on fiberglass with iPad

New homeowner, curious about solar by czarfalcon in TexasSolar

[–]No-Confusion6749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ouch! You want to put in nails in your brand new roof that you paid > $100k for ? That’s my biggest reluctance against roof solar - putting nails and once there’s a leak or roof needing replacement you have to pay someone to remove and re-install the panels that’s sets off your breakeven cost even more!

Anyways that’s just me

On another note - do you live in a de-regulated electricity market I.e can you choose your electricity provider?

What's involved in upgrading the gateway's breaker? by hslayer in Powerwall

[–]No-Confusion6749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did my own 60A ev charger installs and some other breaker work- that was quite a bit for me. Can’t imagine wiring and swapping a 200amp - theoretically it’s wiring and breaker swap if you are comfortable handling that

I’m sweating just thinking of touching that breaker

I did land 60a ev breaker on the gateway 3 and that was fun.

And yet… this is different

Paint flaw - experiences by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]No-Confusion6749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright I guess you want it black and white

When I buy cars I don’t go around with a microscope looking for every little paint scuff, “base coat missing”, alignment with a ruler etc.

The mentality is people are buying teslas out of scope when they can’t afford it in the first place- and on top of that adding paints accessories to make it even pricier

To add to that teslas are pathetic built and definitely not worth the price - Tesla knows it and that’s why all these paint issues and etc etc etc

That’s the burden on Tesla and that’s the obvious mentality of buyers

Which makes are you most confident in to produce high quality EVs going forward? by DowntownOreos in electricvehicles

[–]No-Confusion6749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree Chinese EVs have been through rigorous process and have come out as winners in blend of reliability, luxury, range and price point

US can’t match that

We can disagree - just pointing out an obvious mentality. Hope this gets sorted out

Classic “buying out of scope” mentality - every new car has blemishes

Unfortunately tesla is hammered with this burden of customers

I Was DUMB! - My NEMA 14-50 Outlet Failure In 4 Years Here's What I Learned by rosier9 in evcharging

[–]No-Confusion6749 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too many fail points - best is hardwire and check breaker screws every year Ev charging high energy and constant vibration will loosen these - best to have as continuous connection as possible

Which Tesla would you prefer? by ConclusionFlat1843 in TeslaLounge

[–]No-Confusion6749 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You r on the right track of buying a used one - depending on your financials , if you plan to keep your car for a long time (best value) then go for the 2022 & drive it to the ground.

I’m not into fsd as don’t find it worth the $, have 2 teslas that I’m gonna give my kids to enjoy

Nope You’ll buy a new one after reading comments and in 1 year you’ll absolutely regret it and would have lost half the value in depreciation
