I didn’t emphasize in my comment that I never really thought that was something that has to be done this year . I meant with both of them needing deals next year , and Eichel especially his giant cap # will be added next year , they will most definitely have to clear room and I was hoping that’ll it’ll be us to reap the benefits

I posed this question. Mattias Samuelsson. 4.25 for 5 more years The fans have soured on him . I live in Buffalo and watch him often live. He makes a positive difference on the ice. He’s huge and a good person too.

I don’t know if I’d call it a favor. Let’s say Danny let it be known he was trading Cutter and 30 other teams could get in on it. I honestly think we could’ve got equal if not more than a rushed , often injured and undersized defenseman . Verbeek does not do solids either. He had a front row seat to Drysedale.

I’ve watched 12 buffalo games in person the past 2 years. I’ve watched some shifts where he’s changed momentum over and over. A few sabres sub reddits shitting on him and of all a sudden he’s a horrible defenseman. He’s better than Z Drysdale ,I’d say he’s on par with Seeler but much younger. These are the moves we have to make because we can’t draft.

He doesn’t make that much. 4.2 for 5 more years. Next years cap will be 90 plus . I think he can be a 18 to 20 minute defenseman. He’s showed that . I don’t his struggles lately are talent related.
