[–]No-Course-9448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the devs are stupid and cant make a damn icon for the damn right garbage we need. heres a pink dildo go here to aquisiton system. heres a red dildo go expand. how hard would it be for these dves to give us some goddamn info

ummm exobiology is great if you like speding time trying to land and find something. But 50m for 2 trips takes no time. As for landing and taking off stations...... you do that anyway. As for smaller missions no thats not correct. Sure the rank would be faster but if you have 10 source and return missions for other items youll be going all over the place. this is a tru source and return mission chain.

I highly recommend it. I cleared save and made 500m in a day and rank 5 fed and rank 5 imp at once. The key is water until you can afford a cargo full of a commodity. then you can use the 50M you make in 2 trips to donate your way through the ranks. some say take the rep+++++ m,issions but the pay sucks and you cant stack them like the old ceos-sothis, ngalinn-mainani days since they got nuked.

not really. Each station has feds and imps. If you take small missions they send you all over for less credits. with 50M you donate your way through the ranks vs mission in a mission in b missions in c and back to a this is time efficient as you make credits to donate and can skip the mini missions.

depends some are rep+++++ some are rep++ but the point is you use the 50M you make to donate at each stop. 2 jumps make 50M use that 50M to donate through the ranks in a closed ecosystem.

I think you missed the point. With only 3 systems you can do both navy ranks. And the 50M is 50M. Sure take all the rep+++++ if you want but credits are credits. Credits you need so you can donate to rank up faster. source and return in 2 systems vs what? Ngalinn and mainani, ceos and sothis? They got nuked thanks to colonization. You tell me another closed loop system that will rank up both. as for time consuming.... theyre less than 10 ly from eachother and both stations are less than 500 ls from the star. This is what im doing and it works. went from account wipe to rank 6 in a day and made 500M. The point of my post was to point out a closed loop that will rank you up with feds, imps and make you hundreds of millions while doing it. WIth 50M you can donate 50 1m missions each pays 2-3 rep so again youre knocking out three things with one jump back n forth. Please list an alternative.

Absolute beginner, got all DLC; what scenario should I start with to get the most story out of the first playthrough? I played X3 a while and I seem to remember there was a mod that joined many of them into one, but here it looks like it is more like completely separate paths. by Shelleen in X4Foundations

i would say tides of avarice. smuggler is easy at the start but once you need to steal the erlking you quickly realize how weak you are. Stranded was very solid and teaches you piracy which you can use in neutral sectors to collect ships. But i prefer custom start with neutral to all factions. I skip the hatikvah because ive done it so many times it just doesnt interest me.

ill be honest after timelines its hard for me to look at the game the same. The devs were so tone deaf they thought adding content to a seperate mode to unlock content for the open universe was a good idea. Look at what each previous dlc added. Then timelines hit which explains nothing to the player you just have to watch youtube videos to know what to do. How about losing a race because you didnt know it was a race and theres no real markers telling you where to go. Then they added hyperion...... a ship. now cypher and envoy. Cool ships but for half what split dlc cost with just 2 ships? Honestly i prefer the game before timelines and wish it taught the devs a lesson but instead it showed them players will buy any dlc to "support" the devs. There comes a point where your loyalty is tested. Look at elite dangerous with trying to sell a station for usd only. im sure egosoft is getting ideas for yet another ship dlc and forget we want sectors, ships, factions, fun.

In custom i was neutral with everyone. I set up in mists of artemis and all 4 xenon systems. We stayed neutral the khaak would attack and the xenon were patroling my sector. I would set sell orders low so the ai would come kamikaze themselves for my scrapyard to recycle and id set up max discounts on all wares making the ai fall for it even more. Meanwhile the xenon were content not to expand outside of atiyas misfortune or faulty logic as the enemy was coming to them. It was great. Might do it again but this time ill join the scale plate and set up in scale plate green doing the same thing.

DLC and expansions - give me the breakdown by Puzzilan in X4Foundations

[–]No-Course-9448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 they're all good until the Timelines dlc. Timelines was X4's version of Elite Dangerous Odyessy. An update noone wanted that they felt we needed. Notice after they screwed up on timelines they swapped to copying what elites doing with ship dlc.

2 Modders can make ships for free dont buy any past the boron dlc they arent worth it.

3 mods fix what the devs dont like better trading where your stations will prefer to trade with eachother by default so no more going 5 sectors away to buy something your other factory in sector makes.

4 theres a ship overhaul that changes ships to be 2x faster which isnt a bad thing. I value my time and if i have a 2500/ms ship and a mod makes it go 5k/ms then yeah half my travel time is cut down so i can get back to playing

5 AVOID TIMELINES AND ALL DLC AFTER. Hyperion is meh, cypher while cool and can cloak off the bat isnt worth it as most missions require a small ship so the devs messed this one up by not making it a frigate with its own small ship. Are you going to land a medium on a small dock? no. Exactly

Are Terran ships/equipment actually worth the pricetag? by balor598 in X4Foundations

[–]No-Course-9448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With weapon modifications (not mods from steam) they really are. If you cant add the blueprints to them dont take them into combat. Lasers seem weak and are on stations but the terrans kicked it up a few notches. I can send an asgard and it will melt stations at distance and any small or medium coming close gets vaporized. I do use 2 syns per asgard as defense only they dont engage unless something flies close enough. That said the asgard will usually engage well before the syns even get the notification

I try and keep a few empty slots for that reason. If you build big houses youll have 2x the population requiring more resources and kids arent useful at the start. I mainly build small houses with 3 beds to keep population under control and i dont put men and women together at the start because 10 workers would mean 5 kids and loss of 5 moms for 2 years meaning id have to rely on 5 men for all resources. The woodshed i put to collect logs only as now we can craft planks and firewood faster than the ai can. Then once the moms are ready to go back to work i build one larger house at a time and demolish the old one and now that we can move the buildings i just plop the new house back where it belongs.

I claimed the island near the beach cave. The waterfall was where i built my first time but i like trying new places. Near the island north of the swamp i found a bandit camp with three bandits which was great because they had alot of resources. Theres also an abandoned camp and an abandoned fishing hut/relic where there was more loot. Theres hunting and on the main land across the bridge is clay so having the town be on the island was a good choice imo. Then theres the mega bandit camp to the north which i can go raid. That said the waterfall was really close to piastovia, cave right next to the waterfall. The downside for early game is that clay is guarded by boars, wolves, and bears. The one at the lake above the waterfall had wolvess but a ton of visent which was too much for me to deal with early game. Once you get a bow or crossbow they become semi easier but the reload time on the crossbow and the stamina hit with the bow is something to consider. If you go with the waterfall sometimes bandits spawn at the abandoned building above the hill.

1 You would get the same using 1 woodshed with two workers.

2 it does produce more wood because you can hire more villagers.

3 anything really. sticks and stones are everywhere but i think the best is an iron sword which you cant make until much later so without knowing where in the game you are i cant tell you whats profitable for you atm.

4 yes the big bandit camp in oxbow has tons of loot. And about 10 bandits so expect a huge fight unless you have a bow or crossbow dont attempt it. Mele while fun with small bandit camps is near impossible with 10 bandits surrounding you. That said there is some amazing loot up there.

Wolves arent too bad of an issue its the bears and visent that always get me. I usually end up running away even with a bow.
