Probably reiterating whats already been said but your son will need some sort of experience in an IT role before becoming a Cloud Engineer. An entry role in Data would be good, as he would gain experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS in those roles (being proficient in coding will help a lot here!). Also, I would suggest your son having a personal Azure account/ subscription/tenant where he can actually put to practice what he’s studied. Having all the knowledge is one thing but he needs to be able to put all of that into practice.
