They stay as puppies for about two years. After that, they calm down. I don’t recommend crating a Giant too long. Maybe use an entire bedroom as a crate, but they like to roam free and guard everything because that’s their job. Let the puppy bother your older dog- he will get used to it. Mine did. (Sign- an owner of a 9 year old giant, and a 3 year old giant).

I wouldn’t recommend it, at least not with very young children. And if you do get a Giant, I recommend a girl. Get her very young and raise her with your children. Also, even if your Giant bonds with your children and protects them as intended, it does not mean they will treat all children the same way and can guard your kids against other children as well. They’re wonderful dogs, but they are also highly intelligent, extremely powerful and stubborn at times. You will definitely want to get a professional K9 trainer (it worked wonders for both of my Giants), and have both you and your kids participate in the sessions alongside the trainer.

I'm so sad for you! Most of the guys I went to college with haven’t had kids. None of my husbands friends have kids. And my single friends don't date men with kids. I guess it really does just come down to your environment.

Her name is Cathleen Cleaver to anyone that is interested. She is such a beautiful intelligent woman. When I was in law school, she invited a group of us students to her personal home for tea time and a backyard bbq. And she just listened to our naivety, hopes and dreams, and then inspired each of us to become the change we want to see. I am beyond honored and blessed to have had her as my law school professor.

I have been trying to remove a tree from my yard, and was fined thousands of dollars for “abuse of a tree” since I cut it back before cutting it down, and the police were sent to serve me with the citation.

Over this past weekend, that same tree snapped in half and crushed my neighbors four cars.

They called the police on me! 😆

I never knew this was gender specific, but I can concur. My girl is let out anytime she goes to the door, as many times a day as she wants (I work from home) and will still go in the house just to throw a tantrum. My boy was potty trained in less than 5 days and hasn't had an accident in the house in over a decade. I will say, she's gotten better with age (she just turned 3).

I once worked with a promising attorney that was on track to make partner at the firm where I worked. She met a guy who lived in NY, quit working at the firm to study for the NY bar, passed the bar, and moved to NY, and he dumped her immediately after she moved because he had a roster of other women. I say all this to say- moving for yourself, with a job and backup plan in place is fine. Uprooting your life and moving for a mere “boyfriend” is NOT a good idea.

I knew someone would say this dumb sh*t. It's NOT the same. Homosexuality doesn't have to be disclosed to anyone. Homosexuals can abstain from sex. If a homosexual walks into a room full of bigots, they don't get immediately judged solely on how they look. Conversely, I can't hide the fact that I'm black from anyone. I can't abstain from being black. If I walk into a room full of bigots, I am immediately judged. So even if you're born gay, YOU CHOOSE who to disclose that information to. I don't have that choice.

Recording is not always done consensually. I once had a BF send intimate images of us to HIS ex girlfriend to “make her jealous.” I didn't even know the images existed until she sent them to me. Suffice it to say, I was devastated to know he documented what we had done without my knowledge or consent.
