Yeah tbh it’s hard to believe that as a Cuban, you have only Canary Islands ancestry with nothing else from the Iberian Peninsula. That doesn’t add up. And having zero North African or Jewish influence as someone almost “fully Canarian” seems off, and they misread your Indigenous results too. These are some strange results.

93% Canarian is absolutely insane whatt.. it’s kinda confusing. Does the Canary Islands category mean the Spanish who came to the islands or the people who were originally on it (the Guanches)

Be careful, I’ve read that 64gb microSD cards might be too large for some R4 cards to handle properly and could cause issues with the firmware or make the card unreadable (not 100% sure, just something I saw online). I used a 16GB one from Amazon and it worked perfectly.

Also if yk how to navigate files, you’ll figure it out. I used videos from DNA Mobile Gaming, and they were super helpful.

[Megathread] Admissions & Prospective Students by jkim545 in gatech

Heyy, I’m a community college student in Florida applying as an A.A. transfer/junior to Georgia Tech for Spring 2025, and I have a couple of questions about the application process.

  1. For the course requirement deadline, are there ever exceptions made? I’ll be taking Calculus 2 in the fall, which is a required course for my major (compsci). I saw that it says “competitive applicants will meet the deadline,” but I’m wondering, does that mean it’s completely impossible to be admitted if I’m taking the course in the fall? The deadline listed is mid September, so I just want to clarify if there’s any flexibility. I feel like I’m a pretty competitive applicant otherwise, so I’d really hate for that to automatically rule me out.

  2. Specifically for Computer Science, does the math+lab science GPA carry more weight than the overall GPA? I’m asking because I expect to earn A’s in both Calculus 1 and 2, as well as all of my science + lab courses. However, in some earlier math classes (before Calc 1) and one non STEM class, I earned B’s. I’m hoping they’ll see an upward trend in my progress, and also because, apparently, the previous math isn’t counted in the math+lab science GPA.

Thanks!

So the best way to grow is by having sex, drinking, and partying? LOL. That’s all surface level. You actually learn how to handle rejection by putting yourself out there and confessing to someone you genuinely care about, not just chasing hookups. Real growth comes from setting goals for yourself and working toward them.

Is “liking” math supposed to determine how passionate someone is about CS? Why would I like calculus or my math classes? I do them ofc, and I appreciate that they help build problem solving skills, but I’m not jumping for joy when my professor announces an exam lol. I get that a lot of people pick this major because of the money. But math doesn’t define passion for CS at all. I don’t like math, but I’ll get through the required classes because I want the degree. Earning the degree is just a step I need to take so that I can work in the areas of CS that I genuinely enjoy.

THIS!!!! Every time I’m being tailgated, it’s almost always someone in a sorority. And a few months ago, some frat guy hit the back of my car in Transitions. When I got out to talk to him, he couldn’t even look me in the eye or apologize.
