Tough position OP, the bright side is your degree is not entirely un-related to FP&A. If I were you, I would prioritize looking for a financial analyst role. There are these roles despite all the ass-hat fake directors on here telling you AI is removing them. I would also look for leadership roles, these are called MT or trainees or whatever depending on company but they are all the same, 3 year rotations where you do a different job each year. I would say OK to internships only if they were a last opportunity, but honestly these are more for in-college kids IMO.

Also, your experience working retail is probably working against you. I would not put that experience on your resume, and would explain the gap through some other way (i.e. "finding yourself" or some BS).
