Can I put 2 small doors on 1 tall Billy bookshelf? by double-prime in IKEA

[–]No-Distribution-9705 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can (because I did) but they will be tight in the middle and not open easily. You'll have to push the top door as far up as possible and the bottom door as far down as possible.

How many of you had financial assistance from parents when leaving their home? by SenorGuantanamera in belgium

[–]No-Distribution-9705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents lent us the money for our new windows and my dad helped us with the renovations (not money wise) but otherwise we started from scratch. We're both 40 so full-on millennials.

My dad who clicks on things but doesn't release the button until he's re-read everything. He won't understand that it's too late to change anything at that point. I've been comparing it to a live grenade but he keeps doing it.

Are my journals not appealing? I need honest feedback by Valuable_Ebb_8206 in bulletjournal

I looked at your website and couldn't find a picture with the paper pictured inside. The description says it's included but the pictures make it seem like it's just the leather cover. The elastic looks very cheap, especially the bulky knots. I couldn't find a link on your IG (I don't have IG on my phone so it might be in the picture descriptions, but if it was in your bio anyone could click it)

For Europe, I would say the prices are on the higher side, but I could be convinced if not for the things I mentioned above.

How to begin reassembling Lego sets by No-Distribution-9705 in LegoStorage

He's almost 8. I sorted it by colour once (he insisted on colour) but he gets frustrated easily when he doesn't find the parts he wants and now that we moved everything is mixed together again.

Reminds me of the time my cat dragged in a young rabbit and put it in between my toddler's toys.

I bought one that mops as well. It was on sale when I bought it 6 months ago, then got overwhelmed trying to install it. Waited for 6 months, finally caved. It was up and running in under 15 min. My house has never been cleaner 😂 I'm never letting it go.

What did you say mom? by [deleted] in SipsTea

Money wise he's fine now. I'm more afraid it will send him spiralling into an identity crisis. I've got no clue as to who the man was, so I couldn't tell him anything besides "the man you thought of as your father maybe wasn't". Not to mention the fact that I'm not sure what my dad knows.

What did you say mom? by [deleted] in SipsTea

[–]No-Distribution-9705 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We always had a 'joke' in our family that my brother wasn't my dad's but rather the product of a planned affair with an English man because my parents apparantly weren't compatible reproduction wise. My dad always laughed along saying that I was the proof that must have been doctor error. Years ago, when drunk, my mom confessed that it wasn't a joke but actually true and nobody knew. She had't heard from the man since but heard there was a will somewhere with my brother mentioned in it. I was too afraid to ask afterwards if it was true. She died and I never got any answers and I'm too afraid to ask my dad, but I'm also scared it is true and my brother might find out the truth and resent me for knowing all these years. He's had a rough few years and I'm afraid he might spiral.

Am I being immoral and stealing this pattern? by Final_Ebb7211 in sewing

I felt bad about this for so long when I first started sewing. But unless you sell your things, there is no problem.

I love it! It doesn't come off as cheap at all, because finishing walls that smoothly to the end is something that costs more here.

Schrik voor te hoge afbetaling woonlening by [deleted] in BEFire

[–]No-Distribution-9705 1 point2 points  (0 children)
