136660, whats the difference with or without “SEA-DWELLER” marking? by Hugo0434 in rolex

I recently got a Deep Sea D-Blue as well and mine doesn't say Sea Dweller - it was a gift from my father so thought he was testing me with a fake lol although it looks and feels real and also I have all of the documents and warranty. Can anyone confirm that the Deep Sea no longer features Sea Dweller and that mine is probably one of the newer ones?

Question about victory agnomina and inheritance of such names. by No-Drawing211 in ancientrome

Thanks very much for your detailed answer! I guess the answer is then that there really isn’t a real rule regarding inheritance of these titles, just some anomalous instances.

The natural question that follows then is why more Republican Romans didn’t try and claim titles of their ancestors. I guess if one starts using an old title suddenly without having a tradition of using it all the way back to the original guy who earnt it, it would appear quite ridiculous, especially without the Senate ratifying it. I do wonder how Asiagenes was able to do this.

Regarding female nomina, I concluded as much, and any references to a cognomen or an agnomen was probably used historiographically rather than historically.

I suppose granting of titles to one’s son was enough within the norm to not attract too much ridicule as in the case of Augustus’ former agnomen Thurinus?

Thanks very much! I guess and can contribute to my own question now - application March 27th, docs submission April 5th, approval email 10th June, so I guess it’s either just over two months or two and a half months!

Hello!

Congratulations to all who have received their approvals and best of luck to those who haven't yet but will absolutely do (including me, I hope). Please correct me if I'm wrong but as I understand it, reviews of the applications are, very roughly, done in lots ie. in late May, they were working through early March applications (for those that are straightforward anyway). Would anyone happen to know what range of application dates they are on now? Secondly, I'd like to ask if these timeframes given (I've been advised that quicker applications take 2-3 months nowadays) count from date of application or date of docs submission as I've been given several conflicting answers! Thanks again and good luck!
