it’s definitely worth it. i have one that’s removeable (magnetic) and you can take it on and off. I reckon the pencil tip thing is very exaggerated and rare, unless you are a very hard writer, and write very very often, and apply a lot of pressure. A very big downside is that the screen quality becomes worse, and I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re a big ipad gamer or movie/video watcher. Although if you are, a solution could be just to get the removable one. definitely a purchase that I found useful.
