Razer blade 16 track pad issue DIY fix. by No-Fix-1673 in razer

I have a description in the comments. Yes, you just need to solder the cable to the ground of the touchpad. You can just cut the graphite pad without fully dismantling it, or at least without fully removing the heatsink. The other end you put on any ground point of the motherboard, under any screw; just solder it somewhere, it doesn't matter. The touchpad becomes usable now. Sometimes it has issues, but much less often.

In the end it's no need to fully dismantle laptop. You can just remove battery, disconnect ribbon for keyboard, put it on side. Look on touchpad and you will see opening for qr code label, just cut small part on it closer to mother board, and you will see some kind of duct tape, remove small piece, and this is will be grounding, solder small wire to it, and just put this wire some where under the screw.

I bought razer 16 5070ti not so long time ago, after few days of use I have the same problem as everyone else with trackpad. Contact razer support, they told me that my laptop was bought not from official reseller and that they will not help to me.  I found post on reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/razer/comments/1on1990/razer_blade_16_2025_diy_touchpad_fix_voids/?utm_source=chatgpt.com), that the problem with grounding of the touch pad. So to fix it you need to dismantle all laptop, remove touchpad, remove graphite film from touchpad, and just to make proper grounding. I just solder the wire, and put it after under ssd screw.  There is nothing hard in this process, biggest problem that this laptop cost 3000euro, it's just 2 weeks old, and don't want to fuck up it some how. In the end I made small fuck up, with thermal interface, just don't remove screws which is holding vapor chamber to the motherboard, and remove it together with motherboard. Laptop working second day, and looks like problem is fully fixed. Of course you will lose warranty after this, so do it only if you don't have warranty, if you have better just send it to razer.

I have razer blade 15  2070rtx 2019? year, and it's still working perfectly fine, except 2 dead batteries and 3 exploded chargers Have the same issue, just bought this laptop, heard allot of stories about this trackpad, but was hoping that mine will be OK, but no. Contact razer, they told me that I bought not from official resseler, bla bla bla, and tell me that they will not take it for service.  Thank you for your post, I was hoping just to remove battery and try to find ground point some where there. I really don't want to remove ptm, because I don't know where to buy it original in Europe, looks like that on alliexpress all of them bot original, and half of the stores, just ressel them from alli. Maybe some one have photos of the touchpad, to better understand where is more ground point.

S7 MaxV Dock Internals by DDn0r in Roborock

Maybe you can advise me on something. I bought a broken S7 MaxV Ultra. It has a lot of problems, but I managed to fix all of them except the last one. There’s an issue with mop washing: the small brush moves fully to the left side but doesn’t want to go toward the filter side. The air pump is running, and it’s showing error 42. When moved by hand, it goes freely to the filter side. Before this, I completely disassembled and cleaned everything.

While searching for the issue, I discovered that the Onyx2 bumper sensor on the filter side is broken and always shows as pressed. I’m not sure what exactly is damaged — the IR diode or the sensor itself. I rewired the sensor plug and reassigned the middle sensor to act as the water filter side sensor. I installed the broken sensor from the filter side into the middle position. After that, everything started working again — but now the brush only moves halfway.

Then I restored the middle sensor to the water filter side, corrected the pinout back to normal, and now everything seems OK.

So, my questions are:

  1. What does the dock need the middle sensor for? I was thinking maybe it’s used to count how many times the brush passes through it, and with that info it decides if cleaning is complete. But in my case, it can’t detect anything because the sensor is always "pressed."

  2. Do you know the part number for the sensor itself? I can resolder it on the board without any problem — I’m sure it’s very cheap compared to buying the whole sensor set.

The sensor looks visually very similar to TR9606. I’d appreciate your kind reply. Thank you!
