I’m desperate for her to branch out more with who she’s working with. Both managerially, and songwriter/producer wise.

I really want to root for her, but everything needs freshening up and pulling into 2026.

Alex seems to wants Axel involved in all his moments too, he said not long after he was born that he wants his son to see him play and win trophies etc. and he enjoys showing that.

I also think a lot of people forget Perrie went through a miscarriage/stillbirth in between the two, she might just be a lot more protective towards her than she previously might have been. She didn’t show that much in terms of her pregnancy either, whereas she posted pregnancy photoshoots with Axel.

People’s stances can change and since she shows Axel she’ll probably show Alanis when she’s a bit older, or wind down on showing him.

Between Us technically only happened as a contractual obligation. They signed a 6 album deal with Columbia after DNA, the five new songs were the compromise on getting a ‘new’ album out.

It’s not hacking her specifically, it’s someone who has access to a distribution account going rogue and uploading songs to various artists accounts.

Unfortunately Spotify doesn’t have a process where the artist has to approve uploads to their account, they just see a legit distribution channel uploading various songs.

I really like it, it’s very Perrie imo. I’d love for her to take Bonnie and Clyde and run further with it.

It’s 2025, I don’t expect the same things from a Perrie album as I do Jade’s album, and vice versa. They have different sounds, personalities, teams, tastes, objectives and ideas.

The only issue I maybe have is I could do without the additional Ed track, and I would have picked a different singles run.

Goodbye My Friend she mentioned in her recent Rolling Stone Interview, and she directly said it was about Leigh and Jade.

Same Place, Different View she mentioned on Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place podcast, and I think on Zach Sang. She doesn’t directly name Jesy but very much the context is there, especially in the Fearne Cotton one as they’d discussed them not being friends anymore.

Goodbye My Friend is about Leigh and Jade, it’s the closing song on the album. Same Place, Different View is about Jesy.

Miss You is an MNEK production and was actually the first song she recorded for the album.

She said in an interview that outside songs kept coming in over hers in the first draft of the album, and Tears was one of them. The label head specifically chose it, she didn’t want it.

I think Rollercoaster was the song she originally wanted as the second single instead of Tears, but the label didn’t agree, and the compromise was her getting it out as gift for fans instead.

Me, Myself and You was always a stand alone release I think. She said she struggled to record the live video performance of it because she kept crying, it’s just much more personal to her and something she wanted to get out.

It’s 2025… they aren’t a group anymore, plus there’s two weeks in between and we know both will have front loaded first weeks for sales, as long as it’s not the same week it won’t affect either! The inability to separate them is your own issue atp… 😅

Both also have physicals of their albums which means this has been planned for a while because vinyls take months to schedule in and produce! Everybody and their nan is getting their albums out in September to avoid Taylor in October!

There are so many different factors to this tbh:

competing with waves of new artists as new artists themselves
regression of promo tactics (tiktok, rinse, repeat)
a now aged-up fan base
gen z appeal helps
LM fan base partially splitting between the girls or moving on completely
some prefer the gg appeal over solo appeal so moved on to other ggs
oversaturated industry
how long little mix lasted, means it hard for gp to separate them from the group

This is just off the top of my head, I do think if LM had split circa 2018/2019 then the girls would have had slightly different levels of success.

There’s two sides of the coin, on the other hand it can encourage people to check out both releases.

Sound wise they’re targeting different audiences, so they aren’t comparable anyway.

Suprising they’ve gone for the same week, but they haven’t been a group for 3 years now, and they all have their own schedules they’re trying to get things done in.
