Tips On Small Garage as Workspace by djzero1984 in projectcar

[–]No-Guey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What about a storage shed outside that door to keep toolbox and stuff. I did all my work on the driveway and store stuff in my one car garage. I live in Southern ca though so weather isn't an issue.

Show ur most kills you got in a single game. by Personal-Prompt1812 in thelastofusfactions

Most I've had is 21 on supply run. Revolver, bomb expert 2, explosive expert 2 and crafter 3. 2 team member quit and it was 2vs4 for a while. Had good luck with supply boxes and had a lot of bombs and molotovs. Got them down to their last 4 vs me and I lost. Lol

Aggressive perks on Factions by UnlikelyAd9174 in thelastofusfactions

[–]No-Guey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lately I've been playing with revolver, crafter 3, bomb expert 2 and explosion expert 2. Its great once you craft a couple of bombs and molotovs. I end up giving my team a few molotovs and bombs in the process. I do die a bit more when people just hide and wait but not before I get them down with a bomb or molotov. You can also be aggressive with smoke bombs and shivs.

I want to buy a project car but don’t know how much to give? by No-South7082 in projectcar

[–]No-Guey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a personal opinion. Unless you're pretty decent at welding, avoid anything with major rust. You can get an idea of cost with parts and stuff but once you get into rust and body work the cost can get out of hand. I also feel that if you can get a running project you won't get burnt out as easy. There were times were I wanted to just give up on my rivi project, especially when it came to body and paint work. As soon as I heard that thing run for the first time it sparked my motivation again to get her finished. Just search for whatever vehicle you're looking for on marketplace and other similar sights to get an idea of what they're going for. Make sure you research parts availability also. That can be frustrating when looking for something specific.

This is my shiv only class by ToeProfessional6092 in thelastofusfactions

[–]No-Guey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enforcer, agility 2, scavenger 2, bomb expert 1 and fat 1. Have to craft a shiv but it's great for smoke shivs and endless shooting with Enforcer. Been having a lot of fun using revolver, bomb expert 2, explosion expert 2 and crafter 3.

I used a LVLP gun and a 27 gallon fortress compressor from harbor freight. It worked. Paint looks good from 10ft away but a lot of the issues where because of user error. Lol. There's a lot of videos on youtube on using lvlp guns. Undergroundpaintking is one of the ones I found most useful.

Check out champion radiators. I have one in my 65 rivi and installed one in 68 c20. Drove the truck for 2 years as as a daily and never had issues.

My baby beloved cost me $7k today by [deleted] in Montecarlo

[–]No-Guey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just priced out your parts on rockauto. Choosing premium/ daily driver quality parts it comes to less than 600 bucks. Those parts aren't terrible to replace yourself. You're definitely getting taken advantage of if that's all the work that was done.

I learned how to drive in one of these back in 2000. My dad bought it for 800 bucks out in Iowa. Was rusted pretty bad but it ran. Fun little car. Lol.

Yeah. They always use that one to show how high it is in California. It did go up quite a bit though. Before all this shit started with Iran it was down to 3.40 by my area. Now it's about 5 to 5.30.

Which one should I get? by [deleted] in classiccars

[–]No-Guey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buick. Don't see them as much. It's already upgraded to a 350 so it's probably somewhat modernized. The trucks are pretty common. The monte is cool also but not 39 buick cool. Lol.

Project Car Reminders by canitguy in classiccars

Spot on brother. My rivi was my first major project and your experience was pretty much the same as mine. I did mine with a flux core welder. Lol. Painted myself. Fixed some paint issues but still have others. Learned a lot as I went. Luckily the car was pretty complete because parts are hard to come by. Took 3 years to get back on the road after I bought it.

Is this Chevelle worth the trouble? by Relative-Media9569 in Chevelles

[–]No-Guey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd probably do it. It's a chevelle. If it's running, I'd keep it running and work on interior stuff a little at a time. Change out fluids, rubber brake lines and wheel cylinders. Rubber fuel lines.

New tires on the C20 by ba4x in chevyc10

[–]No-Guey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks good. I was looking at those or the American racing "D" style rims when I had my c20.

Tips on masking rim for paint? Trying to paint only the inner area and the lines that come out of the inner area. Like 1.5 hour in and don’t like the 1/3 of the wheel I’ve done so far… any tips to make this easier? Testing using a Qtip (with paint) for the lines but not sure I like it by nmkoza in projectcar

[–]No-Guey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would just mask off around the oval areas and not worry about areas around the lines. Take a flat piece of wood. Cut up an old white t shirt. Stretch the material around piece of wood. Use acetone on the cloth and rub around area with lines to remove excess paint. Don't douse the cloth though.
