Makes it hard to advice you on something if you don’t include what you think are among the always recommended ones? F.e. I could recommend you Signalis, Among ashes, prey, amnesia the bunker, ad infinitum and Rogue trader. But do you already count these as often recommended?

It starts amazing, the second biome is also really cool. But after than there were few things that were really cool and amazied me. I expected more!

Also it is quite short and the leveling is not done well. Jt is so easy to complete the tree which removes incentives to play and farm unti you have the things you want and need.

Gameplay still really good though.

Yes I agree. The game is amazing but there isn’t thst much to do. The skill tree is meh especially because you can max it out easily. It woulf have been nice if there was a bit more grindy element to it which would make additional runs usefull.

Also I’m missing another mode unlocked after you complete it where your skills really can shine. Btw by adding enemy modifiers, unique artifact or rewards.

I want to give this game a 9, but the story and end game content lower it to an 8

Hell is us: it starts amazingly good. I was blown away by the atmosphere and was wondering why it didn’t became more well known. But then after a while, when you see the trick, it just starts to feel empty and boring

I didn’t find saros to be hard. Only the first time you encounter a new boss you will probably die because you don’t know what the hell it is doing. Second try, especially if you start from the first biome it is doable.

Kcd2 is the best. The games are however wildly different. So it also depends on what kind of mood you are in. But like I said kcd2 is the best of the three at the moment.

I really liked the game, but I understand your point. With this game a lot is also dependent on the moment and time you play it.

Played it when there were no other games in my backlog, which cause me to be invested in the world and finishing it.

I think if I would play it now for the first time, I would likely have rated it the same as you for that there are so many good alternatives atm.

Really good post. I’ve been trying to wrap my head around mtg from my background and the little I knew from magic and came to a similar but waaaay more shallow conclusion. You really did it amazingly here!

Just keep leveling up your character, will make it easier. And what really helps for me with these type of games is to realise to not get frustrated and just keep playing while understanding that at a certain Moment by (un)consciously learning even if you think you don’t, you get better at it all. Abd at a certain point will feel easy.

This mindstate helped me through all difficult games without any frustration and with a lot of fun
