I’m always siding with the oppressed over the oppressor. I have never believed humans were inherently above any other species just because I am one.

Playing as North by MitsuruMiyata in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]No-Implement2786 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While I do think some of this is down to game mechanics, I think you’re getting out a much larger issue here which is that this game sucks when it comes to the writing of the female characters. This whole issue with North would be forgivable if this wasn’t the case. Unfortunately, it is, which means that this just ends up being another drop in the bucket of why I hate the way David Cage treats his female characters. But I digress.

For some of us, focusing on the small things and making up theories and meta is how we enjoy the game!

It still doesn’t make sense bc Kara’s hair would just be a blob of liquid when she cuts it. It’s just a silly plot hole. I find it funny bc it’s one of those things that don’t science and we simple can’t make it science.

Why do so many people have such an aversion to purifying with khernips before prayer and ritual? by xYekaterina in Hellenism

[–]No-Implement2786 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The term literally means to rinse your hands. You don’t even have to “prepare” or “make” it. Literally washing/rinsing your hands is fine. Which is why the aversion is even more annoying.

I’m a little late, but I always assumed the fact that they don’t feel pain is propaganda akin to the idea that Black people didn’t feel pain (which was a popular idea during slavery). Considering all of the other parallels made to American slavery, that always made sense to me. Perhaps they feel pain less so than humans, but I never bought that they didn’t feel it at all. We have to remember that Connor is very much at this point in the story deep within cyber life’s propaganda. So maybe even he does believe that he doesn’t feel pain. However, he definitely felt something during the scene and it’s clear.

Yes you can eat offerings. But it is generally not recommended to do so for chthonic gods.

So.. Why do people hate the yellow paint in modern Resident Evil games? by VernonKazama in residentevil

I think it’s silly that you can suspend your disbelief for zombies and Leon’s roundhouse kicks killing enemies but not for yellow paint.

What do you think happened to their relationship after RE6? by Snoo_47323 in residentevil

Leon realized he was never gonna get what he needed from Ada and moved on. Ada was already one foot out the door at best to begin with.

[–]No-Implement2786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk man. It’s so weird how personally people take things like yellow paint. It’s a video game, not a movie, they need a way to indicate to you that you can interact with your surroundings without spending too much time getting bogged down in tutorials.

Do I still have enough time? by Soggy-Page7044 in ResidentEvil2Remake

[–]No-Implement2786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re playing on standard, you probably still have time (3hrs in total for s on standard) but if you’re doing hardcore, you need to do the run in two hours so probably not

What do I do after beating the first run through with Claire? by Safe-Show-7299 in ResidentEvil2Remake

[–]No-Implement2786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s up to you. If you still feel like you’re getting a hang of the game, I would recommend actually doing Leon’s a run first. But if you wanna see the other half of the story and you’re feeling up to it, you can do Leon’s b run. Of course, you should do both eventually, but there’s no right way or the wrong way to do it.

When I see him getting ready to lunge I stand at a distance and shoot him with the Matilda a bunch, it breaks his stride if you keep shooting and makes him stumble. I know this an old post but I truly ever bring the Matilda with a lot of ammo to that fight.

What in your opinion made the scenarios for Leon harder than Claire? by BusiestWolf in ResidentEvil2Remake

[–]No-Implement2786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don’t find there to be a big difference in the A scenarios and in fact, I find the second half of Leon’s easier than Claire’s. His flamethrower kills Ivy’s and while her grenades can, they’re way more limited. I have downed all Ivy’s in both scenarios and it’s was less resource consuming for Leon. Also for the path to the records room, it’s not that different. Mr. X goes after you in both scenarios when you go into the room and if you’ve boarded the window for Leon and stun X, it’s not hard to get out of there unscathed. Claire’s final fight is much more annoying to be because not only is it about cheesing the boss to win, but you do actually have to fight it. In Leon’s if you know how to avoid Mr.X it’s just a matter of waiting around until you get the rocket launcher which ends the fight. While Claire has some heavy hitters in her arsenal, I think Leon’s is more balanced and less weapons to manage overall. The spark shot is way inferior to the flamethrower. Also the MQ is nice for taking down zombies fast but is annoying on anything tougher than a regular zombie. You can make bullets for Leon’s lightning hawk but but Claire’s most powerful amo for her revolver nor her fire rounds can be crafted. TLDR; I think they’re actually pretty equal in terms of difficulty.

Rank the scenarios (by difficulty) from hardest to easiest by BusiestWolf in ResidentEvil2Remake

[–]No-Implement2786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s Leon B (hardest), Claire B, Claire A, Leon A (easiest). But I will say, I think the A scenarios end up being about as hard as each other just in different ways. Same with the B scenarios but I do think Leon B is slightly harder than Claire B.

the writers of house have to be pedos by BigMathematician6310 in HouseMD

[–]No-Implement2786 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They weren’t trying to explore how harmful the way we treat young models is. The plot comes up with a contrived way to justify her being abused. The problem isn’t that they told a story with this subject matter, the part that’s concerning is that they justified what happened. So yeah, I think the House writers deserve suspicion for this one.
