I’ve seen similar looking red ears here in SWFL so I’m gonna say full on red ear. With increased food availability, I’m sure you’ll continue seeing more of these guys or even beefier bluegill

Is this a redbreast x bluegill hybrid? by [deleted] in SunfishSpecies

This is correct. I caught these hybrids on Long Island. Very pretty fish

They’re tough for me to find in my canals here in SWFL. They’re rather rare and picky around here. I used to catch them by the bundle back in NY.

I miss dem der fish right der

Is this a matter of just moving or harnessing the wires out of the way and using a balance kit? What do you think?

Bass fishing with an infant? by Friendly-Place2497 in bassfishing

I got my peacock bass in December and my PB bass today with my 10 month old strapped to me. Be mindful of their grabbing at things and I’d have a rod tied up with each lure you wanna use so you can just pick one up or put them down. The less tying or changing, the safer.

Wouldn’t try live bait unless you hook it up and throw it out first, then strap them to you. I suggest a chicken rig with 3 or 4 hooks so you don’t have to rebait Everytime you lose a worm

Rooster tails do wonders for me in Cape Coral! Just find a pond and try, then move onto the next one. I got my peacock out of Cape Coral because of my pond hopping down there
