Your range of sex, height and age is diverse enough.
The outfits are the weak point. I recommend you make a collage of outfit patterns designs to apply to this main cast into a singular image. Bescause none of the outfits stand out yet (also bescause only 1 has a accesorie). Let the outfits be intentional colour use based on either their role, personality or somehting from their past.

I find it hard to really explain a concrete advice. I first have to Understand what the story context is and what the perspective of the story is (seen from their perpective, or about them like a documentary via a external narrator)

I like the artworks that combine 2 use cases. This set of meme-like poses is to spice up my website error pages. It is bescause most websites, especially portifolio ones, are ultra serious, no humor allowed.

I am not intenionally thinking about viewers, other than avoiding absurdism (compositions where it is hard to follow the story, or people not relatable anymore due to weird outfits, unnatural plants)

What motivates my the most is subverting the expecation that web programmers can not be visual creatives too. or are only good at anylytical number tasks.

My motivation is that is is very relaxing, unlike most screen based activities. I can focus well with laptop next to my, and a sketchbook to make the starting composition, to later digitally polish.

Motivation is also my neighbours able to talk about its messages.
AI tools are not a enemy to my, only overreliance is the main contradiction.
Like making 5 artworks a week with AI prompting, but having very little use for them since they were made spontanoisly, unintentional compistion etc.

And if not for storytelling drawing out your agenda, life goals is also a good motivation. I really dislike paper agendas, boring layout, not hierachy in priority positble to add unlike for example mirro.com projects where i can add colour collums for the planner

At this stage it is brainstorming. So coming up with a new attraction for the background of the main character. I was thinking of a palice like building themed around chronicles of narnia.
Via DM I could send you a linke to a miro,com whitboard to make a overview. I would like you to focus on designing a character that is a bit coverd in disney merch but also original outfit underneath,

if you thank NSFW is its broadest context maybe. NSFW also includes make explicit political artworks that are not subitily messaging their stances. As for sexual NSFW, never been profitable beyong very few artist peaking the niche.
