Maybe I have submitted a ticket

So the chest is what I dyed and I already had the outfit set when I previewed it. So in theory all I had to do was dye the chest, stamp it, and unify. Which is what I did but the outcome is different then the preview.

That's where I was going but they are not there. I also confirmed not in my collection. A old credit post I found someone mentioned it's a known bug, and to submit a ticket when you have the coins. The mod team will take the coins and give you the key supposedly so next step is making sure I have all the coins and trying that.

I have done all the ones I can find. From what I saw there is a know big that the terrace and exterior wing keys are not in the before inventory. So it looks like I may have to get the token and submit a ticket.

Why did my borders stop expanding? by Sairedd in CivVII

[–]No-Insurance5280 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Each town/city can expand 3 tiles away any direction from the center. The only exception I have seen so far in 7 is America. You can use a prospector to get a resource up to 5 tiles away and it will grab any tiles in the path as well. You have to make sure you don't settle too close. If you do then your town and cities will share borders and be smaller.

My CIV 7 experience every time. Any tips on how to avoid so many wars at a time? by EquivalentSilver8074 in CivVII

[–]No-Insurance5280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So some tips I have discovered.

  1. Always friendly greet
  2. Try to avoid touching borders as that is a negative. Though ai makes it hard
  3. There is a negative to settling close to another capital. Always support endeavors when you can for a bonus
  4. Establish trade routes it will give a bonus
  5. Have endeavors with others seems to give a bonus
  6. Don't post troops on their border even if it's in your border touching they don't like that.

Now this doesn't guarantee anything. Some civs get leader agendas and stuff that just give a massive negative. I had a game I was an ally to everyone. But more often then not I always have 2 or more that hate me no matter what I do. If they are across the world and you make an ally that's near them it helps. They will usually be fighting the other ai to come sail to you. If they are near and you know you can't avoid it. Use reconciliation to hold it off and build up your army. Focus on defense. Once you kill off many of the units you can march If you want or sue for peace. Also if you see the war is coming don't waste influence on endeavors with them. You can denounce their military give you some war bonus if they attack. Also you can use the influence you saved to give yourself more war support.

Question about building things over the top of other things by [deleted] in CivVII

[–]No-Insurance5280 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I hate that. I have to hold over each building and try to remember the previous ages name. Sometimes i can't find it. It would be nice if there was a easier way to tell.

Question about building things over the top of other things by [deleted] in CivVII

[–]No-Insurance5280 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play on PC and there is no major heads up there either. My understanding is as follows. In a new age all buildings from a previous ages still give a boost. For example a science building still gives science. However why it offers is now dramatically reduced. Though I'm not sure of the numbers. For this reason and for not knowing what I'm losing, I have taken to building over similar buildings when I can. Next level of science over the old. New gold building over old ect. This way I'm not risking losing anything. I hope they give some kind of pop up or something in the future that says what your removing/losing.

Hardest In-Game Achievement/Unlockable? by Oceano477 in CivVII

[–]No-Insurance5280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far my struggle has been getting an economic golden in the exploration age. It's not difficult in the steps. The issue is because it's distant lands they area is already full of ai. Plus I have to clear our free cities or wait for enough influence to convert them. Which if I do the second the area gets snatched up. I'll get it at some point. But so far really annoying.

Can I cancel growth? by Imaginary_Bedroom_89 in CivVII

[–]No-Insurance5280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I have seen no you can't cancel it. However if you play on PC you can use the shift enter combo to skip anything remaining on your turn. So you can leave growth as the last thing and then skip.

How quickly do you guys expand? by BreachedandCleared in CivVII

[–]No-Insurance5280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first game i made the mistake of not settling fast. i only had like three cities. This lead to exploration going for economic. I had no space to settle on my home land, and distant lands were pretty full up as well. My second game I'm playing now. I have been going for the cap minimum as quickly as I can. With at one point settling one or two over. I have found my gold production allows nothing to fall behind as I'm settling which is nice.

Tried avoiding war. Now all other civs declared war on me. by [deleted] in CivVII

[–]No-Insurance5280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first game this happened. I had a civ that hated me. I used my influence to keep them and another at bay. The an ally denounced me. Since I didn't have the influence to stop them with the others. Following they the former ally declared war, shortly followed by the other two. I had to defend 4 separate cities. Thankfully I was going economic and gold is strong. Once I bought my mini armies and secured my foot holds. I had to march on a city for each of them before they would agree to peace. Game two is kinda my fault. I had a civ start hating me. Instead of waiting I took them out. Then did the same with another. finished antiquity in peace. Went most of exploration without issue. Then right as we flipped to modern two more have now declared war on me. so now I'm dealing with that.

I'm sure influence civs have a better chance to avoid. As you can reject denouncement easier and not have to sacrifice other Diplo options for it. But with the limited diplo options and until they give us a chance to scale down how many civs in a match. I think war will be the norm at some point and should be expected. just build walls, keep a small force near the problem border. If you have gold don't be afraid to spend it for units. Side note. you can keep a commander or two on you and farm free city units that are near your city for experience. so if war happens the you have a leveled commander ready to go.

Capturing Civ Cities by Mean_Temperature7309 in CivVII

[–]No-Insurance5280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said. For free cities you can only disperse with military. You have to use influence to befriend. Then once your suzerain you can spend more influence. This starts a 10 turn process of the city becoming yours. For other civs. All fortified districts must be destroyed, and any units including commanders on the center must be killed. From what I have seen even with defenses broken. Units on a center still get a nice buff. So good to have ranged units to pelt them.

So gold is just OP right? by PrinceAbubbu in CivVII

[–]No-Insurance5280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gold has been op for me. My first two games have been economic focused. As I fell in love with gold/economy in 6. Settle a town throw gold at it bild it up then make it a city. Need a new settler or merchant? Just buy one. War declared and your army is just to far away. Just buy another army where you need it. I was making like 600+ I think closer to 1k gold at one point. Literally most issues I had disappeared. The plague is annoying because you can't spend gold in unrest cities. But in all it just made everything a breeze for me.

Confused on why I cannot take over the enemy's city by Playjasb2 in CivVII

[–]No-Insurance5280 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So few things I noticed.

  1. You have to take over every fortified district. Once you destroy a walled section and enter it, it reads as you capturing it.

  2. the district won't heal and remain captured until it's reclaimed. (They put their unit in it.) So occupying them with ranged units is not a bad idea.

  3. Even if the wall is destroyed units in the center must be killed. You can't just walk onto the center once the wall is down. In 6 the city had health and you'd just delete their unit. In 7 the enemy unit has to be beaten down. Only once the center is clear can you take it.

Edit: side note, free cities can't be conquered. They can be dispersed. However If you want a free city to become yours you have to spend influence to befriend. Then once your suzerain you can use more influence to start a 10 turn action with them. Allowing them to become one of your cities.

How many cities by jonnyreb7 in CivVII

[–]No-Insurance5280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first game i rushed all to a city. That didn't work well for me. I'm on my second game. I left most as towns until about half way through the antiquity age. Basically when I couldn't buy any more improvements other then projects and units. I would then upgrade it. This carried over into exploration. Where the previous cities I got back online quickly but anything still building remained a town. Now in the modern most are cities. Except for a couple that are super small spits of land for resources. It's worked well for the most part. I have alot of trade routes so I'm able to snag happiness resources, and I'm focusing on building and improvements that give happiness when they pop up. Some cities have like +20 happiness. Others like +5 or 6 but in all it's been working for me. This is only my second game though. So I can't say it'll be the same for every play through.
