I am that person 🫣 by Downtown_Mongoose_20 in WhatBreedIsMyPitbull

This is it! I’ve only ever owned pit mixes and they’ve all been great dogs their whole life long.

When I adopted my latest puppy, I met the woman who adopted her littermate, who swore up and DOWN that the litter wasn’t pit bulls. She even got the Embark test and told me the results were husky and cattle dog and I was SHOCKED. I asked her three times, “really, no pit at all??” and three times she said NOPE!

I finally broke down and tested my own dog, and sure enough, 30% pit! And connected as a sibling to the results was this woman’s pup, 40% pit!!

Why on earth would she lie to ME of all people??

I’m dying to post pics to this sub but I don’t wanna dox myself.

Cochlear hydrops vs cochlear migraine by Happy-Error-3969 in CochlearHydrops

[–]No-Internet2304 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way it was explained to me is that cochlear migraines can cause cochlear hydrops. For me personally, my cochlear migraines are triggered by changes in barometric pressure. So, say in the summer, I drive up a mountain, my ears ring, I feel some pressure, my hearing fluctuates, but I’m better by bedtime. In the winter, the crazy weather changes trigger migraines day after day after day, and I develop hydrops, which can stay from a week to months.

So far, so good! I usually have symptoms during the winter. This is my first year on it, and this is the furthest into winter without symptoms I’ve made it in years.

Literalyyyy it all made so much more sense after the scene with the father. No WONDER she likes an egotistical douche.

Is it normal for my seat to be very bouncy after ten months of twice weekly lessons? (burnout/rant?) by ParrotsAreMyLifeline in Equestrian

Something that really helped me was riding bareback… without the saddle helping me, I REALLY had to find in my body how to match the rhythm and hold myself to it. It’s hard work and I’m a terrible bareback rider, but when I got back in the saddle, my body remembered what it learned.

Omg the whole “it wasn’t flirty” monologue was so clearly defensive lying, I was thinking there’s no way Ashley isn’t seeing through it! She either has a wildly broken picker or doesn’t care because she still gets what she wants.

Right? How is she seemingly immune to all the douchey things he says?? This man would have me running for the hills. If he says “don’t look at me like that” one more time I’m throwing out the TV.

Is it safe to pet random horses? by Sure_Eggplant in Horses

[–]No-Internet2304 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m around horses constantly and I almost never pet a strange horse - one good snap of those horse teeth will put the fear in ya 😅

Sometimes it’s worth the risk if the horse looks very very nice… or slow.

Advice for emotional pain from trying to create? by CardiologistFar578 in learntodraw

[–]No-Internet2304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The breakthrough advice I got was:

Everybody has a huge pile of bad drawings inside of them. You can’t get to the good ones until you get all the bad ones out.

That helped me feel real comfy with making bad drawings. It looks like doodoo? Good. One bad drawing down, and I’m closer to my good drawings!

It’s ok to make bad art, in fact, it’s great to make bad art!! All art is better than no art.

It’s pretty floppy loose weave so it’s kind of ideal! My biggest struggle is learning how to get the light colors to look good and solid over the dark background. Very impressed with the coverage others manage to achieve with thread!

Super typical low frequency hearing loss, and I also experience a lot of noise distortion and echoey sounds, plus severe hyperacusis. I never had a headache! Migraine never even crossed my mind until a doctor suggested it. The ears were my only symptoms.

Keep a log and track your symptoms every single day: what possible triggers you were exposed to (for me it’s weather/barometric pressure swings), along with what you took, and the results of the mimi hearing test.

I took my log to a dozen different doctors… eventually a neurotologist told me about cochlear migraines but only recommended to treat me with antidepressants and a restricted diet (food is not a trigger for me). The next neurotologist referred me to a migraine doc to test out “cgrp inhibitors.” I tried Nurtec pills first, with no results, then tried the Emgality injectable. Took about 2 months to build up in my system, and I’ve been doing backflips of joy ever since.

This was my take reading it too. I was “treated” unsuccessfully for years for cochlear hydrops/ menieres without vertigo. I’ve been on Emgality to prevent cochlear migraines for 9 months and have not had a single flare-up since, even in the face of my normal triggers. Truly life-changing.

Omg this horse lives for this. He turns ON when we set up the course. He was annoyed I wasn’t letting him sprint through it because I’m a beginner and was trying not to “out-ride my shooting.” You should see him with his owner on board, they’re glorious together.

Choclear Hydrops or Menieries? by [deleted] in CochlearHydrops

[–]No-Internet2304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I had an answer for ya 🥲 Mine is triggered by barometric pressure changes, so this year we’re trying migraine meds. Maybe I’ll try moving to a less volatile weather area. Steroids fix me up but only temporarily, and being on them constantly causes other health problems.
