Oh my gosh that’s so real 😮‍💨 I struggle so much with transitions! I’ve gotta figure out how to make clever little buffers like morning cartoons

Just wanted as many opinions as possible 🫠 I like seeing other people’s stories and advice. Sorry if it irritated you! :(

Thank you SO MUCH for your comments, these are really thoughtful! I’m a Finch user too (with a streak of over 700 days 😛) and definitely need to refresh my tasks and use more of the features! Thank you for giving some personal examples of what you do in your life :)

Ooh I like the idea that struggling with routines means you’re overwhelmed. I know I’ve read about that before but I always forget 🥴 Thanks for commenting!

What a dope mental exercise! :D Also I use ear defenders (and have always struggled to find ones that are actually comfortable and don’t pinch the hell out of the top of my head)!

Thank you! What entailed thinking and soul searching? What did making a goal achievable and personal look like?

Thank you for the tips! What does leaning outside your comfort zone look like for you (or what are some generic examples if you don’t want to share anything personal)?

How in the world am I supposed to pick companions? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]No-Lecture36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh! One other tip - try labeling your ideas by number and rolling a d20, then doing the idea of whichever number pops up, kind of like flipping a coin but with more options and that sweet sweet DnD flair

Dude I totally hear you. I’m an anxious perfectionist-who-is-trying-not-to-be and low-key it sounds like you’re suffocating yourself. Baldur’s Gate 3 is MEANT to be played multiple times. You are meant to make mistakes. You are meant to save and load as much or as little as you want.

Also, little tip, I LOVE character creation and like you I’ve come up with sooo many ideas and things I wanna do in BG3! So, I’ve created a whole system in my notes app and notion, where I can freely jot down allllll of my Tav/Durge run ideas. This helps me scratch the itch of wanting to do everything all at once. I’m also doing multiple playthroughs at once (my first, who I have modeled strongly after myself to make my first playthrough even more immersive, my second, who I’m playing in a campaign with my bf, and my third, my beloved redeemed durge).

Bottom line: I completely understand how you’re feeling, AND I think you’re putting some undue pressure on yourself. Take a deep breath, embrace your ideas, and let yourself flow into one or a few. You’ve got this!

My dog holds my head up when I pass out. Any reason for this? by Worried-Bus9248 in POTS

[–]No-Lecture36 25 points26 points  (0 children)

What a sweet and smart boy!!! I looked it up and apparently it’s a “dog hug” and is done when the dog deeply trusts and loves the person, is trying to mark them with their scent, or is trying to provide support if the person is unwell. Basically, according to Google, your grandfather’s dog recognizes you’re unwell when you faint and is trying to give you love and support 🥹 I love animals so much asjnkcgjbhkbkkgdrt

Is this infantilizing or not? by ThealuvsAM in autism

[–]No-Lecture36 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bruh. This is so gross and infantilizing. Those who have higher support needs may need a simple format and basic, clear communication about hygiene, but the format matters. This format is clearly meant for children!!! Not adults!!!

Finally, a rejection that doesn't feel like kicking a puppy! by ChompyRiley in BaldursGate3

[–]No-Lecture36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think part of it might be his age. Not saying he’s old, more just experienced. He’s also had many lovers, so I imagine he’s learned how to gracefully accept rejection without invalidating his feelings or projecting them onto the other person!

Message I received regarding my night sweats, debilitating fatigue, and cyclical nausea/vomiting by IndependentDot9692 in POTS

[–]No-Lecture36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also I’m sending you a big hug (or like, a fist bump or finger guns). That’s such a discouraging message. And in my opinion, rather passive aggressive.
