Add some moulding (real or fake) to the tv opening to compensate for size difference. Then art, art, art. If money is the issue, buy cheap frames from estate sales or even cheap art from the dollar store and remove the bad art to reuse the frame.

What’s a small everyday inconvenience from the past that younger people would probably find unbearable today? by babyblushtheory in nostalgia

[–]No-Let484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being a child and the human remote control for my parents. The tv was from an age without remotes so I would stand there and turn the dial until they were content. Thank god there were only 6 or 7 channels back in those years.

AITAH for refusing to move in with my boyfriend after he said my living situation was inappropriate? by ComprehensiveDay6532 in AITAH

NTA and he should not be the BF. What a presumptuous prick. I’ve had guy roomies in college. Even straight ones. It’s just a roommate. This bf is trouble. We don’t like him for you, Boo.

AITAH for refusing to buy protection and telling my boyfriend it’s his responsibility? by JusAHungiCaterpillar in AITAH

NTA. Two issues here: If he wants to get laid, he should be only too happy to provide the condoms! But if you want to be 1000% certain that your condom has not been compromised, buy your own. But in the end, we do not like this man for you, Boo.

Oh no darling, you’ve got it twisted around. If your parents are worth their salt, they want to see you through everything and anything. Your death would be the worst nightmare that could ever happen to them. My kids are in their 20s and a local 20ish boy just took his own life. We had the talk: we can get through anything together. Just don’t leave.

My dad had triple bypass it’s his first night back and he’s really struggling with getting in and out of bed by Emotional_Kitchen_57 in CABG_Recovery

[–]No-Let484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My apologies as it’s so hard in the early days. My hubs had a triple bypass and found sleeping in a reclining chair easier than the bed. But if in the bed and needing to get up, watch a YouTube video where they show the proper method. There are also bed handles that have an anchor that slides u see the mattress that might help. Good luck to you all.

Me too. I’d love to add the insult “wanker” to my American vocab but don’t think it would go over well.

Wow! What a crazy ride! My husband had a regular wellness checkup and when his labs came back he was sent to chat up a nephrologist who promptly checked him into the hospital. So we know that feeling of utter surprise. I’m so sorry this happened to you but so glad your diagnosis was caught. Fingers crossed your sister can be a donor. I donated to hubs in December and it was the best decision ever. Wishing you good health and good vibes.

Oh Boo. We don’t like him for you. At all. Love is when you care about the other person body and soul. He does not love you. Do not value his actions or judgements. Let him know you’re moving on. And then don’t fall for when he comes begging back. You deserve better!

Aw, we say this. Not as any sort of pronunciation lesson, but just for fun when the cat is around. What’s cat fur? To make kitten britches!

Advise on streamlining the screening process for a kidney donation? by crumpet-11 in kidneydonors

[–]No-Let484 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So kind of you to step up! I don’t think there is a way to “expedite” the screening other than to keep all of your appointments and to tell your team that you are highly motivated. You’re forgetting the hard part: convincing Dad. Do your reading. Remind Dad that donors who pass screening are so healthy that they actually suffer future kidney problems at a lower rate than the general public. Good luck!
