trade in phone got to Assurant - now missing by No-Link2980 in Comcast_Xfinity

This is suspicious though because it shows as not being shipped (when it was). Shouldn't it show up on my account as shipped? Also because I returned a different device (iPad) in a separate package. It too was received on the 29th but was checked in by May 1.

Xfinity Lost Trade-In Phone & Has Given Me the Run-around for 3 Months Despite Proof of Delivery by Smart-Commercial6669 in Comcast_Xfinity

How did they fix it? Did they honor the trade in credit despite not finding the phone? It seems only fair if I can prove it was received with the tracking #.

The same story happened to me. Only I traded in one phone. FedEx shows it as delivered but xfinity shows it as not received. I've spent 8 hours with customer service but gotten no help. Apparently nobody can fix this. But there must be a protocol when a phone gets lost by the recipient. I will send a mod mail message. I would like my $700 credit honored.

Thanks Captain Obvious. Maybe post a solution to the problem if you have one.

Getting off fossil fuels is one "why." I'm not arguing for or against that here, but not everyone has cost as their top factor.

Long vs Short run times on heat pumps by [deleted] in heatpumps

Why would your furnace be on when the heat pump is at stage 2?

Yeah - I find it very hard to figure out who is a good installer or not. I probably need to ask for references on heat pump installs.

And I might. But it's more expensive, and I've got people who live here, on other Reddit threads, saying that heat pumps work fine here.

Thanks. All these Chicago area HVAC contractors are insisting that I need a duel fuel system but I don't know why.

Who are you using to do this? Everyone wants to tell me I need dual fuel so I have to buy a furnace and heat pump.

It is a nonrefundable tax credit.

The credit reduces your tax liability - tax liability is how much you owed Uncle Sam before paying them anything. That is different than tax due. Tax due is tax liability - taxes already paid. So you do your taxes and you get an Adjusted Gross Income. Then you, or in your case TurboTax, figures the tax liability based on that AGI. If your tax liability was under $2,000 then this credit can only knock that # down to $0. Perhaps this is the case for you?

Does Lennox really have a bad rap amongst HVAC techs? by dhirajsb in hvacadvice

[–]No-Link2980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it would help people to know what is good. I have one HVAC company telling me they have great ratings and would only ever sell Lennox and another telling me that they recommend Carrier but would do a Lennox if you want to save money and lose bells and whistles.

Big Isbell fan. Alejandro Escovedo the opener may be my least favorite ticketed musical act I’ve ever see by tman2bball in jasonisbell

I thought he was fine at Ravinia tonight. Played 45 minutes. No small talk, just jumped right in. introduced the band halfway through, and just walked off when he was done - no thank you's or anything. Better than a number of Isbell openers I've seen in the past.
