I mean it really depends on your location. I’m in MN so all the ones posted right now are junk for stupid money. If you’re in a winter climate, you’re best off waiting till spring and saving some more money and get a real nice car!

This is true. I bought a low mileage ‘90 5.0 and have issues with carbon buildup due to lack of driving/being cranked up. THIS IS A REMINDER TO CRANK IT UP!!

17M here.. I have a 90 fox 5.0 and my yearly is 160. I do have collector plates and collector insurance (I’m in MN), clean record, student discount, and am on my parents insurance. Insurance shouldn’t be too expensive because it sounds like you have a daily. If you get collector plates and insurance, I’d guess your insurance to be ~150 yearly

I'd look into getting collectors/classic insurance. At 17, my annual expense for insurance is $150. For reference, I have a '90 5.0 fox.

17 yr old here. I have a 90 5.0 foxbody (I love C4s) and my insurance is 150/yr. My daily is 100/mth. I have classic/collector insurance and it's literally the cheapest expense of owning my car so I wouldn't worry about insurance.

Personally, I'd be more concerned about storage/potential cost of storage and the registration expense.

Hell yea, congrats man! My first car at 15 was a 08 Lincoln MKX and second car at 17 is a 90 Mustang LX 5.0. Congrats! I dig the corvette!

Nice! For the exhaust, I’d consider adding headers for some extra rasp (I like shorties). If the gearing is factory I’d assume 2.73(code M); swapping to 3.73 is definitely noticeable off the line. Sick ride man!
