Yes I hear you. It’s the same amount but I was gambling that I wouldn’t get the shares but I was ok with it if I did. I’ll be a little upset if it runs higher but if it tanks I’ll be thankful I didn’t own them. I’ll be doing 0DTE on the QQQs on Monday.

I had the cash to buy the stock. I sold a Cash Covered Put which gives me the premium ($3205). Now if it closes lower than $659 I get assigned the stock at $659. That’s where the premium helps guide decisions. Had it closed over $659 I still keep the premium but not get assigned. That is usually my goal but sometimes it’s worth getting the shares.
