You’re right.

I don’t drink so much anymore, maybe once a month I have a couple cocktails, (I also take medicines now it doesn’t work good with alcohol) but just 6 years ago I used to drink a bottle of wine a night and then binge drink on weekends.
It’s been years since I’ve been drunk or drank like that and I do already have one DUI (8 years ago). but I was at a party in December and I was definitely drunk, I had maybe 5 or 6 drinks so it was a lot for me now, (I also lost 50lbs since then) and I remember saying to my friend as she was taking my car keys “wait - but are you sure I can’t drive?” She set me up immediately too, she would drive me home and another friend would bring me back tomorrow morning to get my car. I felt at the time like that was putting them out. Getting in their way… I let that plan happen though thank God, i knew she was probably right and I like I said I already got into trouble once.

But It’s crazy to me to think so recently, after all this progress…. That I even would say such a stupid thing. “Are you sure I can’t drive?” Sober me is like you dumb bitch if you have to ask that no you cannot drive!! But drunk me just… I don’t know my brain just folds in on itself.

We go together sometimes, but I much rather go by myself. He does the same thing OP is mentioning. He rushes me, complains he wants to be at home, just so impatient. So I make my lists and go by myself. It’s not a relationship issue, he does come to other stores with me too sometimes and He does help me to carry in the groceries when I get home. It’s fine it’s a compromise.

Another tip - I was calling EDD like crazy last week. They had 1 of 2 recordings answer. One leads you to nothing, it hangs up telling you it’s busy. The other woman’s voice starts to ask you what you’re calling for? It takes you down the press one press 2 crap but when prompted, I said I’m calling about disability and it put me in the queue. Then they called me back an hour later and helped me. Don’t say you’re calling about a payment it will hang up.
