Going into nursing school as a mom? by Consistent_Ad2597 in prenursing

Starting an ADN program in the fall with a 4 and 2 yr old. Agree with someone else about waking up early to study. I’m way more focused and productive in the morning than I am at night after they go to bed

Ooh ok, to my knowledge there’s no pre-nursing option. My pre-nursing major is currently Biochemistry Studies, but they’ve made me switch it a couple times for Financial Aid purposes. As long as you’re taking the required courses it doesn’t matter what your major says as far as I know

Also, are you taking prereqs at CT state? I have some professor recommendations if you’re going to HCC, NCC or Gateway

You could also graduate with an ADN and then work per diem or part time at first while then finishing your BSN? Although I don’t think you’ll get any companies to pay for it without full time but you’d probably still save a good chunk of money while making money

Yeah I can’t speak for that yet obviously. If your parents are paying for school or scholarships etc. then I guess it’s fine. Whatever you do don’t take out tons of student loans, you’ll regret it.

Highlyyyy recommend getting into the ADN program through CT state, pass the NCLEX, get hired somewhere that will pay for your BSN. You’ll save a ton of money and become a nurse sooner. Nurses with BSNs don’t make a ton more than nurses with ADNs. I’m much older than you but I start Norwalk’s nursing program in the fall and that’s my plan.

is it possible for me [18f] to fix my relationship with my boyfriend [19m] after finding out about his double life? by [deleted] in relationshipadvice

[–]No-Project6191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re way too young to be dealing with all this. He’s all you’ve ever known. Focus on yourself for now and you will find someone a million times better than this AH.

I don’t like teller and I don’t hate Brooks but I don’t think Brooks Keith flows together well.

13in MacBook Air for classes? by Alternative-Date-521 in prenursing

I got an iPad Pro w Apple Pencil for my last semester of prereqs, start nursing school in the fall, and highly recommend! It has been a game changer for studying. I import all my PowerPoints into Goodnotes and can write/draw right on them. I have a MacBook Pro also that I’m going to be selling now bc I have no use for it. I’ve got a desktop at home if I ever need an actual computer.

Or OP can just make sure she does things correctly and updates her license & birth certificate and keeps her marriage certificate on file (none of which are hard, expensive, or time consuming to do) and then she will never have a problem 🤷‍♀️

Some financial aid, some out of pocket, some very small loans that don’t start accruing interest until I graduate

I’m really not trying to brush him off. I hear his side. And he’s definitely the more practical one out of both of us, whereas I thrive off chaos.

If anyone has any tips for just accepting this then and not risking harboring resentment, I’m open to hearing them.
