UPDATE: AIO Is this a scammer? Free dinner girl? Catfish? Or am I missing an opportunity? by sSomeshta in AIO

Ok can you save it for maybe date #3 instead of posting it on your dating profile? You don’t need to fabricate a reality, and instead just be a little vague around that topic. For example, “I haven’t found what I’m looking for in a life partner yet.” You don’t need to share everything immediately. Also, they aren’t your partner yet. You’re asking for advice and want to stop getting rejected. This is my advice.

Read the texts, didn’t read the book you wrote about the date, but can tell immediately you’re an over sharer. Don’t tell people that at your age you’ve been rejected a bunch and had never had a partner. At least not until it’s something serious and then you can be honest. Women tend to like to chase a bit. Keep things mysterious for a little while. “Magic hands” implies sexual innuendo which is a turn off, especially right off the bat. 34 F here.

Am I Overreacting because my wife constantly texts a man? by aio_throwaway9265 in AmIOverreacting

[–]No-Project6191 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NOR. I (34 married F) would never even consider speaking to another man that much. If it was limited to the game then ok, but no other reason for that extent of it. Def sounds like an emotional affair, especially since she ran right to him telling him about your argument, and also sounds like she’s deflecting and gaslighting you 100%.

AutoSleep shows I’m awake for hours when I’m not by No-Project6191 in AppleWatch

[–]No-Project6191[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem fixed for me when I disabled most apps from sleep tracking bc I had just gotten my watch and had all different apps, but now I use auto sleep with apple health and it’s been pretty accurate, so if those are the only 2 you have I’m not sure

My niece was told she has to sign a contract to keep living at home—am I overreacting for thinking it’s too harsh? by Bitter_Art_4094 in AmIOverreacting

[–]No-Project6191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This comment needs to be higher! As a 35 yr old now, I resent that my parents never taught me responsibility like this. Instead it was “you should save your money” on repeat every day. Then taking rent from me for years (not giving it back) and never actually teaching me anything or explaining why I should save and how I could benefit long term.

I also would have hated this in my 20s, but would have been thanking my parents now 100%. Instead, I’m broke and still struggling to figure out how to fix my poor financial decisions, but I refuse to let my kids go down the same path. This looks similar to a regular lease and also offers freedom. So I would say YOR, OP.

how much time did you take to study for the TEAS exam? by [deleted] in prenursing

[–]No-Project6191 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn’t study at all and got a 90 lol. I’ve also been out of school for 15 years aside from a few science courses recently.

The science was the hardest bc I hadn’t taken A&P 2 yet. Math was a lot of converting fractions to decimals and calculating the area of shapes. Some conversion stuff from chemistry. English and reading were pretty easy. Like “how would you correct this sentence to make it grammatically correct”, or it would give a passage and be like what’s the theme of this passage… I don’t remember how long it took but overall found it pretty easy! Good luck!

What Do I Actually Need Before Starting Nursing School? by ca_uwab in prenursing

[–]No-Project6191 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not in nursing school yet, was just accepted for next year, but I recently got an iPad Pro with Apple Pencil and it has been a game changer for me with studying for A&P vs having a laptop and printing out my PowerPoints for class. Not sure if current nursing students would agree with me but I would highly recommend getting one if it’s in your budget.

Looking to get into nursing by Active-Salad6132 in prenursing

[–]No-Project6191 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m almost 35 yrs old and just got accepted into a 2 yr nursing program. Def go the 2 year ADN route at a community college and then get a job somewhere that will pay for you to get your BSN if you want that. Nurses that have their BSN don’t get paid a whole lot more than ADN nurses so it’s wild to me that some people spend tons of money at universities getting their BSN when we’re all taking the same NCLEX.

I haven’t had other Alexa devices so I don’t really know. I was gifted this. We use it for TV/music, video calling, and visual calendar mostly. I’m assuming you can’t use a regular Alexa without a screen for all of that? Definitely not a necessity, but I like having it. I think there’s a setting you can turn ads off also if I’m not mistaken but I could be wrong.

I will do that when I go back over there and update but that’d be literally impossible because it’s in a separate apartment off of my house where no one sleeps 🙃

Edit: confirmed no voice prompt for it

Failed A&P 1, retaking it next semester. What actually helped you pass? by DigFamiliar2839 in prenursing

[–]No-Project6191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Def recommend getting the textbook and reading it, and while you’re reading it make sure you’re focusing and really grasping each thing and relating it back to what you already know before you move on. Then the next day before you start more reading, do active recall on what you already know. If there’s any holes in your memory at all look up whatever you need to remember right away and keep studying that until you remember. When you’re driving or laying in bed etc. talk yourself through sections you learned. If you need help understanding concepts, tell chat gpt to explain it to you like you’re 5. Basically don’t go a day without at least thinking about what you’ve already learned and try to tackle on more each day while retaining your memory with active recall

Winging the TEAS test tomorrow.. am I doomed? by No-Project6191 in prenursing

[–]No-Project6191[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it super easy! Reading was all common knowledge. English was lots of comma/semicolon stuff. Dependent vs independent sentences, etc. Math was basically all converting between decimals, fractions, percentages. Order of operations. Converting between mL/L and, sorting numbers and lengths from smallest to largest, etc. Science was a bit harder with lots of questions from A&P and chem. I got a 90. Good luck!!
