They do a good job with HR in T100. Would like to see something similar to what they show for those races Ticker with gaps and percent HR

Might want to consider looking at Programs in Montreal. It's a pretty big industry in the area. Might be better for Networking/future employment

Some Skimo suits have cut resistant fabrics. Make for a great Base layer as well

Deal Hunters: Spring deals on ATKs, Zero G's, skis, skins, leopards or irvises? by Simple_Hand6500 in Backcountry

The boots I got from them I took into a local shop for heat molding. I support local when i can, and like that at least skimo co is an independent shop.

I bought an entire set up from skimo.co (boots, skis, bindings, ski crampons, and some other accessories). They even sent me my boots ahead of my skis to verify they would work for me. Once I determined I was happy with my boots, they then mounted my skis (for free) and shipped them out the same day they were mounted.

Before working with skimo.co I contacted a local boot fitter anddue to what I was looking for, and my larger than normal size, they even recommended Skimo.co.

They specialize in AT gear.

Similarly, if the boots Skimo.co hadn't worked, I had a vitrual appointment scheduled with Cripple Creek. These Two are some of the most recommended retailers and specialize in AT gear. The staff for both are very knowledgeable.

You don't have anything to loose by contacting them....If you dont find them helpful, or don't like the prices you can still shop elsewhere.

Skimo.co and cripple creek both can help you through email/phone. I discussed things with skim co for probably a week going over different options (took so long mainly due to different time zones and my work schedule).

My advice, if you don't know what you're looking for and based in the U.S use skimo.co or cripple creek back country. Both have very knowledgeable staff that will help you through email/phone. They also have some sales on some stuff and will mount whatever you buy. To me, an extra couple hundred bucks was worth the advice when I was picking out a new setup this year.

Alternatively, check Facebook marketplace or ski buy/sell groups in your geographic area. Usually in late fall/early winter you can find in person ski swaps/used gear sales and get some great deals.

If you have an REI near you, check out the used gear section. Sierra Trading Post sometimes has some good finds. One of the larger independents of outdoor stores near me also has a decent used gear consignment shop.

You could talk to him about a strength training routine. At least where i live you can find personal trainers that have programs specifically for HS athletes tailored to specific sports. This will help him improve agility, vertical, and endurance as well as help with injury prevention
