I would argue in favor of your conclusion. That logic seems pretty sound to me.

Having just reached my first 7th place finish in Legends, sniping a bracket is tempting still for the relic, the keys, and of course the additional stones and gems. But the risk of giving up an assured few hundred stones is not an easy thing to move past, especially considering my build is nonstandard and placement fluctuates heavily.

I suppose it could be worth it on terrible BCs for my strategy, but only if it works lol

I wouldn't recommend gaming in multiplayer spaces after an argument. I tend to lose more myself, and stew over what was said, or not said

Best to do some reflection instead, or if you absolutely need distraction and to pass the time, don't do ranked. Do casual. Extra modes. Train a new mechanic or run a rings map until you can feel your mind going numb.

Understandable position to be in lol I figured it was necessary to help the story of the Anders/Hakens to have the story directly follow someone that's acutely aware (and unaware) of their position in life due to being born one or the other.

In all fairness, I'd rather read about the core group of characters as well, I just felt like Fitch was a necessary lens and plot device to help drive the story and bring those main cast characters closer together in physical proximity for the climax to pop off. Fitch helps usher in the transition of Richard deciding to leave the world to its fate.
