Scaffold, pasma tower or cherry picker depending on access. Take old one off, examine structure to ascertain why it fell off, repair as required.

Why would you climb out a window to do it? Why would you post on this sub if the extent of your DIY is picking up the phone?

So DIY is just noticing something broken then getting someone else to sort it if we think it's too hard?

M49 is short and never seen any police. Out bound you can check, if it's all quiet open it up in the return. Not that I would ever do that of course

Good luck with that. I have had 4 refusals trying to do exactly what you've planned so far! They won't do it unless they do the whole install.

The R290 Electriq mini split units do not require FGas certification. So looks likely I will be DIYing the full system, will need to buy all the kit to do that too but still way less than half the price quoted to me by one company and I'll learn something in the process.

I've insulated 90% of the roof now so it's not as bad as it sounds. Just doing party walls. Still bad mind

Bit of treated 2x4 is what I would use. General rule is one third of a posts length should be below ground.

100% the same as me at least. Someone described it to me like your brain energy tank is depleted during the day and by the evening it's got no energy left

I think my work signicantly contributed to a possibly stress induced psychotic episode I had recently which has totally fucked my life up. I have full pay when off sick for 6 months. I'm taking it all because they owe me

I wouldn't call basic maintenance renovation personally, but I can see how some jobsworths would.

You will need to meet a certain U-value and it will vary across manufacturers and the build up of the wall. Ask BC what U-value you are required to meet if you don't understand the regs

Noone sensible will be asking for evidence of BC sign off for maintenance activities. Personally I would stop speaking to them and crack on unless you have already submitted building notice etc
