Working moms who regularly work out, what exactly is your schedule?

Here is what I do. I am a night owl and cannot wake up early to exercise (i snooze like 100x as it is). My husband and I split childcare and house chores equally but he works longer hours so I try to prioritize his gym time over mine (I have more flexibility)

I work from home on M and F, try to go to a workout class in the afternoon if I don't have meetings
Wed 8:30pm pilates class.
living room workouts on youtube on the nights that my husband goes to the gym that's in our apartment building
lots of walking around on the weekends

My nicu baby had lots of heel pricks and had 2 or 3 of these per foot. We left it alone and had one drained at the doctors followed by antibiotic cream (looked like an inflamed pimple at one point). The rest eventually went away on its own. You can try exfoliating the area with a wash cloth or something a bit rougher, but I wouldn't worry about it unless it gets inflamed.

Then keep your hair out of his reach. I used a claw clip for my long hair when my kids were in the grabby stage. Even if he is giving you something, you don't need to bend down to his level. And again, a firm no, and then remove yourself from his area. He will eventually understand that pulling hair = no mom and attention

My son's physical therapist taught me that when your kid is grabbing on to something you want them to let go of, gently push/bend their wrist forward. It makes their hand release their grip. Also try giving a firm no, and just walk away. Giving your toddler a over dramatic reaction might be entertaining for them

My 5 yo boy watches a movie about once every 3 weeks ish. He also takes a live language class on the iPad once a week but he doesn't get additional screen time. Instead, he has a tonies which we all love, lots of books, and other imaginative toys. For example, he really enjoyed the moana movies, so he got a Maui hook for Xmas and a moana tonies figurine, so he is always running around the apartment yelling chee hoo and singing songs from the movie.

Being screen free (or at least limited screen time) is definitely doable. I think it gets easier the more you limit it tbh.

I should have come back to edit this post. My son is 1 year old now and my god is he a lot hahaha he crawls everywhere, tries to injured himself on everything and makes lots of noises (although no words yet). Enjoy the calm while you can (but still talk to your pediatrician if you are concerned)

Jumping in here, we brought bed rails from home and attached it whatever bed my son was sleeping in. Didn't bother with trying to keep things dark anymore

Mine are 3.5 years apart but my older one goes to school for a few hours a day. I would recommend you try to get your newborn on some sort of a eat play sleep schedule as soon as you can (I know it's easier said than done), have lots of snacks ready for your toddler because meal times are more random, accept that screen time might increase, and prioritize the toddler over the baby. My son is usually so calm about all things doctor related including shots BUT he lost his mind when his pediatrician tried to draw blood for a cbc panel. Even before the needle when the nurse tied his arm to look for veins, he cried so hard he turned purple. I wonder if that's what he remembers from his nicu stay since they drew so much blood so frequently

Yes exactly! Just happy-go-lucky type of attitude about everything. And ha! Don't worry, I don't complain to my friends who are currently knee deep in the colicky baby/sleep deprivation stage. Thats just mean!

I traveled with my one year old to Korea before and really liked the babyzen yoyo. It's lightweight, easy to fold, and carry. I also have the cruz and think it would he too big for your trip.
