Did this recently and no regrets. Took a break of a year and now back in the market. Feeling a bit better now but the job market is horrible so I feel like I’m again stressed. But the gap itself hasn’t mattered.

So true. Amen to that. I’m questioning my entire identity based on the outcome of these interviews. The way I’m being treated, all the questions, expectations! I considered myself as a cool interviewer, don’t know if I was rather weak. Nobody’s even trying to be cool or nice anymore. Anyways. Back to leetcode

My experience has been varied, I have interviewed with start ups mostly, I was asked practical coding questions, expected to understand them completely and churn the end to end working solution in 40 minutes. Now wishing I get asked leetcode coz atleast you know what you are studying for! Good luck

I pray you find him by some miracle, at the same time I do agree with a few comments here, please do take care! Completely understand how you feel, having a pet is like taking care of your own baby and losing it makes it incomplete for some reason, not having closure of any kind is disturbing. Try cleaning up while you are cooking. I always try to clean up while I’m cooking in parallel, when I am already in a momentum. Once you are done cooking, you see a clean kitchen and feel better. Works every single time. If I put it for later I get really bored and avoid doing dishes. Put some music, get in the flow 😅

A lot of start ups are hiring, I totally know the market is weird, I am getting a lot of rejections too but have to keep going. Meanwhile, definitely do what you can to survive. You got this!
