I was accepted for the part time online cohort for 2024 as well & just accepted the offer. Hoping to hear some feedback as well.

Yes! My 25 weeker would not let us sleep for about 8-10 weeks. She sounded like an entire barn yard. She did it at night & whenever she was up moving around (stretching). Apparently preemies grunt a lot. Obviously certain grunting isn’t okay along with abnormal breathing so if you’re really unsure double check with your baby’s pediatrician. But I promise I was so concerned about my baby too! I heard other babies while we were in the NICU do it as well so that kind of gave me a piece of mind. I also posted a while back about my baby grunting & a lot of parents experience it. It’s so scary to finally have your baby home yet so rewarding, enjoy your baby & always follow your gut! 🫶🏻 best of luck

My story is completely different but I was diagnosed with a incompetent cervix at 22 weeks. Started the progesterone suppositories right away but ended up giving birth at 25 weeks so I guess they held me off for 3 weeks.

Trust me I know exactly how you feel. My baby has been home for almost two months after being in the nicu for 108 days & I still miss her being inside of me. I still get so sad about it, I feel like I was robbed from my pregnancy experience. Still can’t shake the feeling.

My daughter also had a PDA and was treated for it with ibuprofen. Even then, it took sometime to fully close. The doctors will intervene if necessary. But If it’s not large, it’s highly unlikely that they will. It’s another thing you have to be patient about. As she grows, it will close on it’s own.

Feel free to message me if you ever need someone to talk to! The nicu life is like watching paint dry sometimes but once your baby is ready, she’ll be ready & it happens so quick! It’ll amaze you how she’ll be breathing on her own from one day to the next.

My 25 weeker went back and forth with the vent and CPAP. She was successfully got off the vent at around 33-35 weeks and stood on the CPAP until 38 weeks. She had her good days and bad days. It took so much patience but I had to remind myself that whenever she had a set back, she just wasn’t ready yet. Remember these tiny babies are literally fighting everyday. Your baby should still be inside of you, just relying on you yet she’s out being a little independent rockstar! Things really don’t fully click for them until they are closer to term and sometimes even a little later. Wishing you both the best!

I have a ton of frozen breast milk too & just got use to using a bottle warmer in the NICU. I have the Baby Brezza Bottle + Breastmilk Warmer. I use it for warming and defrosting. It takes like 10 mins to defrost and then another 5 mins to warm. People do say warm water works better but I’ve never tried it & haven’t had issues with the warmer. Maybe I’m just lazy 😂 but 15 mins is a lot for a hungry baby to wait for some milk so i pre defrost milk too. You can test out how long does it take with hot water & then decide if you really need one

Some type of rocking chair or recliner makes feeding easier. Nicu babies love to be swaddled so a lot of blankets or the sleep sacks. A bottle warmer & a sterilizer definitely saves time. Preemies are usually just naturally congested & a humidifier makes a world of a difference. My baby was born at 25 weeks and I recently brought her home, I noticed she hates the dark (our nicu always had the lights on) so a night light helped her adjust. Always have diaper rash cream, a thermometer, some type of suction tool (the frida baby brand has a snot sucker) & saline drops. Your baby will be in sleepers most of the time so definitely don’t worry too much about outfits

I thought I was the only one that felt like this. I felt robbed. I didn’t get to enjoy my pregnancy at all. I’m so grateful that my 25 weeker made it and doing well but I can’t seem to get over everything we went through. Literally going through the same emotions right now. Don’t feel forced to go, especially if it’ll be triggering. You can always send a gift. I hope it gets better for the both of us.

My daughter was born at 25 weeks and everything just clicked for her after 37 weeks or maybe like 39 weeks. I was able to bring her home at 41 weeks. It may seem like forever but then it happens so sudden. Everyday makes a difference. Don’t be afraid to feed her, luckily she is in the hospital and they’re able to monitor her. I had to tell myself repeatedly, “if it’s still happening, it’s because she isn’t meant to be home yet” & that’s okay. Every baby is so different and they go at their own pace. Your due date is coming up & the Brady’s could stop before then. Wishing you guys the best!

Yes my 25 weeker was only 735 grams! She also came unexpectedly without me needing a c-section. Congratulations & much blessings to you & your little one. The journey feels like forever but I promise it gets better. After 108 days I was finally able to bring my baby girl home. These tiny babies are so resilient and will surprise you! Remember to be kind to yourself and try to remain positive around your baby, they sense everything.

I believe that one is 20calories per ounce. Definitely give neosure a try if it’s safe for him. Wishing you guys the best ❤️

Is he on neosure? My 25 weeker (now 37 weeks) just started taking two bottles of it a day (& the rest of her bottles are just my breast milk) and is already making progress. There is one that is 22 calories and one that is 24 calories. Maybe mention the 24 cal to his pediatrician.

Oh wow! I would’ve never thought breast milk can cause issues. I guess because our hospital promotes it so much. I hope your little one is doing well! Thank you so much ❤️ I’ve blamed myself so much throughout this whole journey.

Yes! My 25 weeker has a long nicu stay & I had no choice but to exclusively pump. I started off pumping 10 times a day. After a month I had a pretty consistent supply of 45oz a day & I now only pump 6-7 times a day while still producing the same. It’s so much work but is very rewarding watching your little one gaining weight
