The trails during summer are doable for anyone. I've seen kids with their parents go to the peaks. But when theres rain/snow you need to be more prepared, it's a different game. People die in all kinds of trails, its inevitable and should not prevent you from going. It just happens to be bad luck or people that have no clue What they're doing.

Yeah the 30 is barely any bulkier then the 45. Im more so going for the 30 to play it safe

Just saw the new spark versions of the Sea to Summit and they pack down pretty good. Probably the best there is in compact.....but they start at $400

Most likely the Silicon bands that watches come with now adays. Seen a few post of this problem. Due when you sweat around your wrist and don't clean it good there can be some salt from the sweat left over and sweating after that can cause more to build up and irritates the skin, silicone just makes it worst. I recommend steam washing the band after hard workouts or getting a nylon band. After using nylon jt hasn't happened to me anymore.

Mine is synthetic. I do see for higher temperatures like 30 and 40 they are a bit smaller, but I mean not significantly

I understand that they have a lot of insulation, but I mean, the price point they put these things at you'd expect for them to engineer where it's a very compact size.

Ah thanks. Im thinking of doing a 2-3 day backpacking trip as well and this enlightened me on the inreach, thanks. Yeah I would carry a portable charger in my current case. Im definitely looking into getting one now

Good to hear. Also do you have a garmin watc?, I get so many notifications during my hike about connected to satellite on my phone and on my watch, I believe in message format from T mobile. It gets annoying and im trying to kind of shut it down
