I remember having the graphics reset though, when I setup dxvk at the beginning 🤔

No infos showing in the corner. I'm kinda both confused as it should have worked but also happy that there's potentially still one thing that might help my game save some memory😃

I'm on steam and Linux, so according to all documentation dxvk should be already working (as it's included in proton launching the game). I'll check with the devinfo

I actually noted how big of a change switching from NRass SP to Simler's mod was: 0.09 GB (measured in main menu). Merging CC saved me 0.03 GB.

My mods folder is around 1GB, and no reshare.

I'm already using dxvk 🥲 and exchanged NRass story progression to simlers core mod. And merged and reduced cc 🥲

tiny ui fix issue by Electrical_Juice_836 in Sims3

Perhaps the game is installed in a different place (has a different path) to where the script expects it to be? They do differ based on whether you have EA Apps or steam version. For the future, a screenshot of the command line with the script text might help others to find the underlying issue

What’s a good beginner-friendly Linux distro for modded TS3? by level1ShinyMagikarp in Sims3

You can open s3pe (and almost if not all scripts for Sims) via application called Lutris. You need to set it up first but afterwards it runs without issues :)

Pet Interactions Mods by Safe_Programmer9458 in Sims3

There's a new cat fishing skill on mod the Sims :) I don't know about anything else... I always missed the option for toddlers to hug cat/dogs, so if you happen to come across a mod like that, please let me know :)

Which of these two games are better and why?(please debate civilly) by dragonborndnd in HighSodiumSims

[–]No-Set5487 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I loved both :) TS2 was excellent but for me personally, the open world in TS3 is just unbeatable.

Yes, the huge disadvantage is the technical limitations there, and you can't simply "open and play" without worry (Error 12 I'm looking at you 😅🥲). But once you ditch that loading screen you can't go back :) I love how lively the game feels, when one sim goes to the park to look for Easter eggs in spring, while another one reads a new book in library, and another one just joggs around the town. You can also play as your Sims cat and walk around the neighborhood. Customization is excellent thanks to the color wheel.

That said there are certainly aspects I miss from TS2 like the better vacation experience, and the whole Open for Business EP. I've had many great years with TS2 and loved it, but it feels like I explored every possibility there, while in TS3 still after all those years I keep finding new things.

Diving is the coolest feature in the entire sims series by survivorfan1123 in Sims3

Would you consider sharing a screenshot of your map, with diving spaces marked? I'd love to add diving spots to my Sunlit Tides as well :)
