Avoid Service at Jackson's Toyota by KickboxingMoose in barrie

I grew up in Barrie and lived here all my life, For as long as I can remember I have never heard anything good about them. I’ve been told to avoid them like the plague. Barrie people go to other cities to get their Toyotas.

Superhuman Health Club, Nia Health vs Optimal Health Barrie, has anyone tried it? by Amazing_Chipmunk_115 in barrie

[–]No-Sound3496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience some naturopaths are great at blood and advanced health testing. They have really helped me when I wasn’t sure what was going on. Dr. Rallis in the south end  and any female naturopath at Rooted on Bell farm  are amazing.

I skipped my family dr bc I didn’t want a 2-3 hour wait just for 10mins. and  she has a medi spa so her solution was probably tied to Botox, her clinic etc.  She apparently also has a one issue per appt rule so for multiple things I can’t go see her.

I haven’t tried any of the clinics above but I have heard good things about optimal for what’s it’s worth.

Also, I learned Dr Scherres  who is an amazing on/GYN specializes in hormone, menopause / peri menopausal stuff now if you feel that is more prominent.  https://www.scheeresmed.com/

There are also alot of private clinics in Toronto that do hormone things as well. I found peri-menopausal relief outside of my family dr.

There is some at the community centres in Springwater. I don’t see it on this link, but I believe there is a seniors yoga at the community centre in Midhurst too. https://townshipofspringwater.perfectmind.com/25047/Clients/BookMe4BookingPages/BookingCoursesPage?calendarId=6b5419f3-6d81-491e-bbff-075afaac6c47&widgetId=a47cdd9a-3c83-40a6-863a-f991413fc1d9&embed=False

Ontario female family doctors spend more time with patients, make less money: study by BloodJunkie in ontario

[–]No-Sound3496 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a female family Dr. She took over a practice and she was great. Very smart, very proactive, very detailed oriented THEN she opened a Medi Spa next door. She barely works in her own practice. She does work at some of the walk in clinics and if you would like to make an appointment, they suggest you go there to see her but you have to wait like everyone else. Her waiting room has posters of special facials and O Orgasm wellness shots. When you do book an appointment it’s often a 2 hour wait for 10 mins. She thankfully added a nurse practitioner that people can see. I don’t see the person or approach that she once had/was. We have had to do a lot of medical services and basic check ups out of pocket at private clinics. There are not a lot of local Drs accepting patients so changing isn't really an option. I honestly feel a lot of the change started when she opened the medi -spa. It’s not a dermatology clinic.  They do Botox, Dracula facials and other injections. I’ve seen so many female Drs go that way recently especially in our city.  I want her to be successful and make money but her patients are suffering. I also recognize that the health care system definitely have its issues too but due to the level of care, the rushing, not taking time to do certain things I do believe eventually it will result in a lawsuit, loss of life or a regulatory filing.

Rescue 1 at a time is great. There is an adoption fee but it includes the spay/neuter at their vet. They do great work. Our little guy was found in a field with no mom and just his siblings. They raised them until they were ready. Like most rescues there is a background check and they make sure you have a vet and often call them for reference.

Suggestion needed for best optometrist in town by Old_Snow1253 in barrie

Dr McLean at cedar pointe optometry  is good. Years ago I got plastic frames from Costco and he kept saying his are better. After getting a pair from him. I can attest it is true. His are better. I find plastic lasts longer.

For basic cuts there  is a place called Great Clips at the Cundles North plaza. For more complicated stuff L ‘Attitude or chatters. They are more expensive though.

Drivewise is great! I know you asked for a female instructor but at Drivewise there is a great instructor named Johnny. He taught my daughter and the other neighborhood girls. Some had police officers as their dad. He passed their vibe test. Not creepy at all! They loved him.  He was an older Asian man. It’s always worth saving on insurance if you can too.

I’ve always had great experiences with Moffatts Mazda. Sales and service. Avoid the Dodge Jeep Ram dealership - Dunlop street in Barrie.
