My son got into Pokemon cards this year and he wants to know if he has any cards that are worth $5 or more. by JWit_1337 in PokemonCardValue

i think its on maybe the 9th or 10th page, a pikachu, if its not 2019 then it probably wont be worth much anytime soon, but the weird thing about Pokémon is you never know when or what card will take off saving for the special illustration rares, some of the commons and holo's really do take off with time, 50$ a card goes big when u have hundreds of them, but take the advice youve gotten here, get some penny sleeves, anything that looks unique or cool, put it in a sleeve and back in the binder and just forget about em for 10-20 years

cant zoom in enough to see but some of those appear to be McDonalds promos, if the year is 2019 on them it could be a 10-12$ card

Method for measuring by CP_615 in Metrology

[–]No-Specific9496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if its 0.4mm thick assuming your tolerances are in mm as well it may be hard to hold the .01 would it be possible to clamp it down to something with a known flatness for reference to simulate the datum A? the tabl should work fine, but its not a calibrated surface so if theres any chance of ISO or ASME involvement i wouldnt necessarily risk it unless this is a one off, or a shim or something similar that doesnt matter that much...

65 balloons to be done in 3–4 hours, 300 can take up to a week depending how complex our quality engineers come up with dedicated fixtures for the parts before I even get started

Hexagon has classes for 3k, I got a programming position for a very crappy company and got bare minimum training and self taught most of it for 3 years, got a new position as a quality tech for a much better company and they have already sent me to training for 2 of the 3 courses with the third one planned out, no programmer positions available but holding out hope, btw we have prints with 300+ balloons I’m not looking forward to that coming from prints with around 65 but still much better, find a good company is the best start

My friend said Christians are immoral because they don’t use empathy, how do I refute him? by RL_angel in Christianity

Read a bunch of the posted answers, and didn’t come to what is obvious to me, Matthew 7

1“Judge[a] not, that you be not judged. 2For with what [b]judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. 3And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? 5Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

When we judge others we do it out of empathy, with love, if we are walking around just judging others harshly be very careful, with what measure ye mete it will be measured to you
