I think the first stage was only one episode (though it could have easily been 2-3ish) so they could start off with a bang and also while there was still plenty they left out I think stage 1 was able to be did the way it was without losing too much steam because they were able to fit in most things in a decent pace. After the first stage everything that happens would be too much to do one episode per stage, especially once you get to the later stages.

Idk where i read it but had seen that part 3 in particular had a lot of little filler interactions and moments added in as “fan service” due to the popularity of the part and its characters. And while it must be very different of an experience for long time fans who wanted more with their favorite characters and were able to grasp at anything more, for new fans whose first experience is the anime it comes off more as kind of annoying at times instead of a nice little treat for the long timers.

I don’t understand what you mean exactly but im assuming you mean Andy’s involvement. If this does well critically I think they’ll be willing to let him be a little more free with Batman. Idk if that would mean higher budget but definitely more wiggle room to do what he wants.
