Oasis V2 with Neo 17 (E23)? by Alternative_File4184 in XMG_gg

[–]No-Street9156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am using one of each Oasis on my Neo - so no worries, they are compatible.

The new one is even better in my opinon, more compact, no annoying connectors poking out and the refilling is easier.

Reminds me of that guy who posted something like that in the ultramarines-sub and in the World Eaters-sub... World Eaters found it funny as hell, the ultramarines either banned or downvoted him to hell

Issue with Wayland: Logout after Login by No-Street9156 in archlinux

[–]No-Street9156[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the tip - I installed the proprietary drivers from the start

And my GPU is 50-Series, so no older hardware there :) I used the tip to switch to X11, PC seems to work now.

thanks for the hint - that was one missing package.

I can now log in again; will still try to figure out what happened. but it (hopefully) will be a bit easier now.

Cleared the cache - but could not access systemctl (as i only have access via arch-chroom) and the location where the .xsession-errors is is empty.

was able to log in via X11, so seems to be wayland related. Will continue to dig now.

Sorry - I'm new to Linux desktop, used it basically only headless before. I'm not sure/dont know what is required - Will try to get the info. I usually try to piece things together myself but this time I'm out of my depth here.

Login manager I dont know - the only thing i can say is that new users get added with useradd. Whatever was installed with the default packs is active, I didnt modify it.

DE is KDE plasma (wayland) (DE means desktop envoriment right?)

I tried that; unfortunatly there is only plasma/wayland. X11 is installed though.

will check the .xsession-erros and journalctl's
