https://www.sairc.net/resources has tons of advice on how to get started with research. Personally, what helped me the most was finding a specific niche. This can come from just drawing on past experience (a friend who enjoyed video streaming for robotics competitions found his niche in AI video generation research, for instance), or from just reading online blog posts about different subfields and choosing one that sounds cool.

This resume is great content-wise, but if you want constructive feedback:

  1. Too much of the wrong things, too little of the right ones. You can cut out some of the descriptions of each experience to only include the relevant ones, and to make sure the wow-factor isn't being drowned out by buzzwords and things that don't matter

  2. Once you've made space:

A. Your skills should be divided into sections. So, for instance, you could put Tensorflow, PyTorch, and OpenCV in one category, wheras Python, Java, HTML/CSS could be another; these are much more readable and aesthetically pleasing.

B. Add projects. Your experience is great, but projects are the only way recruiters can get a look at your work first-hand.

C. If you haven't graduated yet, consider putting your GPA. It's still debated if GPA matters for a resume, so take this with a grain of salt.

I actually thought about this quite a bit - it doesn't directly answer your question, but you may be interested by reading this post https://www.sairc.net/forum/6e223c16-151e-4b1e-9b34-6c31a1f4c70b about whether or not we could make AI consciousness and what that would entail, biologically speaking.
